  3. Hello Guys, my mk2 G60 has got fully adjustable FK Konigsport Coilovers (koni internals). The ride is way too hard. When I bought it I was given a control key for firming and softening the dampers. It is now on the softest setting but still the ride is still way too hard. Can I do anything else to soften the ride?   4. The flat spot was crazy and very annoying. The torque is soo much better and the car drives very well now. The car is now the 'sleeper' I have always wanted it to be. Will be interesting against a Civic type r or an R32. Greenbat
  5. Hello Chaps, I have attached the result of the remap by Wayne. The power ratio is now something like 178bhp/tonne! But most delighted with the amount of torque and power delivery. Greenbat

  7. Hello Guys, I had an SNS Stg 5 chip with a 75mm pulley and the car run fine. I then decided to go with a 68mm pulley and jabbasport chip. That is when things started going pear shaped. I had a full service including changing of the timing belt when the pulley & chip was done. So I do not want to blame the jabbasport chip entirely. Because the car was running badly I replaced the jabbasport chip with the SNS. Things did improve but not significantly Anyway the chap who did it Wayne (07977004476) took out the SNS chip, remapped the car and then transferred the settings onto a new chip. From my experience I know remapping is more expensive than chips but the extra cost is defintely worth it. The car pulls all the way to the redline with no hesitation or lag at all. This chap Wayne seems very clued up and if someone does speak to him mention Kofi's red Mk2 Golf G60. Cheers Greenbat
  8. Hello chaps, I had my car remapped yesterday and the difference is just incredible. Some of you might recollect I was having a big power loss at about 5K revs. See topic. (http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31680). Anyway the car is performing like how a G60 should do and I cannot stop grinning like a cheshire cat. Anyone considering a remap in the NW let me know and I will you have the details of the chap who did mine. I think it is the best £300 I have spent in ages Cheers Greenbat
  9. Got a problem on my G60. It idles about 1500 rpm, and sometimes as high as 2000 rpm. Now when it idles high and I blip the throttle a bit it returns to normal. I have a Mk2 8v Gti and I have swapped the idle stabilization valve with no luck. I have disconnected the blue temp. sensor at the front of the block and the revs drop. Really pissing me off now so need some help. Greenbat

    Custom Remap

    On my last rolling road I was lightly disappointed at the power output. 188bhp at the flywheel and that is with 68mm pulley, big rallye type intercooler, 4 branch manifold, though exhaust etc. Anyway one comment from the rolling road was that the car was running too rich at the top end, now I want to have a custom remap. Live in the North West, does anyone know of a reliable and reasonable company that can do a full remap? Don't want to go to Dubsport and Awesome. Will be prepared to travel as far as the midlands Cheers Greenbat
  12. What is a wideband kit? Mine is also very rich at the top end. CO level were in excess of 10% where it should have been 4% or so. Did the wideband kit cure the flat spot? Greenbat

  14. Cheers Guys, as Stevemac advised, I went through some old threads last nite and I came across this one "The infamous 5k Flatspot!!" Link is http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0. I suspect the culprits could be the hall sender and the dizzy. I have ruled out the belt because it is a new one and also the power returns at higher revs. I will look for 2nd hand ones and try them out.   15. Had a stage 4, 68mm pulley and chip. This is where is get complicated because the charger was fitted by Dubsport and the chip and pulley by Awesome. Stevemac which sensoprs ned to be checked? Greenbat
  16. I recently had my charger refurbished to a stage 4 by Jabba Sport. A jabba sport chip was fitted at the time. Since the refurbishment, anytime I hit about 5000 revs the power drops dramatically and then picks up again ABOUT 6100. I have attached my power runs. I can only describe it as similar to a turbo lag Has anyone experience this before. Help Greenbat

  18. Hello Guys, I have got a clutch judder, particularly bad in traffic 1st and 2nd gears. Does this mean the clutch is on the way out? Any remedies for it apart from a clutch change? Cheers Greenbat

  20. Got a G60 and I have been told that fitting one of these is a worthwhile mod. Has any one done it and if so is it worth it? Apparently give a nice noise as well. Cheers Greenbat
