To fit 288mm to 280mm you need to change the calipers/carriers/disks & pads, the flexi hoses also need to be changed for the later banjo type as they are also different.. (the hubs are the same on both 288mm & 280mm )

What would cause the above to happen?? How can i prevent it?? Iv dismantled and cleaned the breather on the block, replaced the breather pipe running from block to airbox etc etc.. Changed oil/oil filter/air filter/leads/dizzy/rotor... Any suggestions guys?

You can replace the motor by taking off the housing, the roof doesnt have to come off..

Im wanting to do a C Dash conversion on my mk2 Golf & would like to know what is the difference between a Early C Dash & Late C Dash, apart from heater mech/clocks/switches?? Any help will be appreciated, thanks :)

Cheers for the reply dude, the rado has done 145,000 miles so i think that it maybe the problem, no-one owns a corrado vr that i know tbh. Think il inspect the spark plugs at the weekend and then if it isnt that then il change the coilpack. (£124 delivered from vws)

Feels like its just on one cylinder but it has lost alot of power, iv tried changing the ht leads but still no joy. Will it be the coilpack by any chance? (iv tried gsf but they say they dont do a coilpack for a ABV engine, they only do a coilpack for a Golf VR AAA engine) Are all the coilpacks the same or do they differ at all?

I think you can pop the blank out and then push the switch out from the back using your fingers.

Ok i tried to change the mech over from the passat but it turned out to be different, does anybody do repair kits for these at all? Or does anybody have a good working order late corrado sunroof mech forsale in the midland area?

Ive now done the conversion but need longer bolts, where can i get these from? Will VAG do it atall??

As above, which company/firm would people recommend for a good quality conversion, that maybe you have dealt with?? Strictly Dubs have come out at the top pricewise but wanted to hear what other people think before i commit.. Any help will appreciated.. Thanks

This is true, think il leave it lightly modified and see what sort of response i get, im in no rush to sell as i use it everyday, love the sound it makes! I cant really to change all the parts back to standard because some of the mods were done by previous owner.. See how it looks when ive finished with it..:) Cheers for the advice guys :)

As above which would be worth more?? Car is on L Reg has done 145,000 miles, with full history to back it up, in metallic Blue which i might sell soon .. Mods would include de-badged the front/rear, delocked & colour coded handles, Refurbed Avo Coilovers with new springs, Alloys, Drilled Rear Disks/Grooved Front Disks, Airfilter, Stainless Exhaust and or should i keep all the badges put it back to standard height, standard wheels etc?? Engine/Gearbox the car is perfect and still very strong & reliable, i have replaced the ignition barrell switch which is a common fault with these, the only thing wrong with the car is the sunroof doesnt work properly which i will will try to get sorted and the heater only works on speed 3 & 4 which i did try to fix it but didnt work.. All other elecs work fine.. So my question is which would be worth more & how much?

Is there any difference between the early and late TT? If so ,which year TT would i need the disks from?? (S3 disks didnt fit)

Sorry to hijack thread, im doing this conversion to mine at the minute & was wondering which car to use the 312mm disk from? (Tried S3 disk but wouldnt fit)
