  1. well mate its 10 to 10 and i have just got in from putting my car back together, its less than easy to work around a mk3 dash, especially when its sitting in a mk2 there is a huge metal bar thats just always in the way lol. anyway i wired the windows up no hassle, i realised i didnt need any of the passanger side loom at all once the drivers side was hooked up, as the window buttons i was using were going in the center console i didnt need a passanger side button or the passanger side door lock trigger, so instead of cutting the loom up and sorting through it for just the two wires the go to the passanger side window , i just extended the wires from where i had had to cut the loom in two with some old wie i had (only two wires to the door motors. and this worked fine so all the windows roll up and down now nice and smoothly. also the auto down feature is great no need to hold the button in then i tried what you suggested and 12v the red yellow wire and te windows rolled up one after the other. so i stripped the correct wire on my alarm (found some instructions for it yesturday) and i hooked that up to a relay that 12v's the red/yelow wire, so now i hold button four on my key fob and the windows roll up awesome. also i dont have to hold the button, once the window up sequence has been triggered i can let go and walk off etc quality. cheers for all your help mate i am certain i wouldnt have got this done without your input :)
  2. cool, well im gonna ry wiring it all up today and see what happens, im also gonna keep my eye out for a passat so i can hook all four windows up instead of just two. seems strange to me why more people havent done this with there mk2 golfs doesnt seem particularly difficult, and i got my window modual and the entire loom for £10 cheers for your help mate
  3. so if i supply 12v to the red yellow wire, it should hopefully start to roll up the windows im going to wire it all in tommorow i think but out of the car if you know what i mean then i can mess around with it all. im guessing if i supply 12v to the red black wire it would wind the windows down for me ?
  4. after lots of searching i have found that the ai606 toad alarm supplies ground so either i need somewhere on the corrado eletrics that when it receives a ground, rolls the windows up or using a relay i can find somewhere on the corrado eletrics that rolls the windows up when reciving 12v + any ideas cheers.
  5. this first diagram fits my controll box perfectly all the wire colours are correct and this is from a 90 corrado so i have no idea if it powers the roof, but if it help then here it is. the second diagram is from a 94 i think
  6. hi first post here but i dont own a corrado but i was hoping you could help a fellow veeduber sort out some eletrical questions concerning the windows on a corrado total close system. basically i have a mk2 Jetta 16v with eletric windows. not so long ago i did a mk3 dash installation. this required me to fit eletric windows. the problem is the mk2 switches wouldnt fit into a mk3 dash, so i found some very rare aftermrket switches that fitted onto the mk3 dash that did the job. unfortunately on of the switches broke. it was then i found the corrado eletric window switches, they are exactly the same size as the aftermarket ones so fit within the holder on the dash. but as hopefully you will know the corrado eletric windows are powered by a controll box, and the switches do not reverse the polarity of the electricity like they do in a mk2 golf so basically the switches are useless on there own. so i went back to a corrado i found ripped out all the controll box wiring and the control box and figured i may aswell fit it all to my mk2 and then maybe i could wire up the total close to my current allarm system toad A606I ive searched throught the forums but havent found any specific answers to my problem with the search button so appologies if something has been missed and i am asking a common question so now you know the backgroud i will start to explain my problems and hopefully you can help me with the questions. so i need to know how the corrado system works what wires on the control box can be wired to the alarm to trigger the total close feature? and doea anyone know how i specifically wire this system to my toad a606I? on my toad if the "arm button" is button 1 (top left) "disarm button" is button two (top right) "misc button" under neath arm button is button 3 (bottom left) and "Misc button" underneath disarm is button 4 (bottom right) i need to wire the total close to button 4 bottom right because my button3 bottom left is already being used to pop open my boot solonoid i would prefer it if the system was set up so that i have to hold the button down untill all the windows are closed that way i can insure that all my aging windows close before i leave the car if that makes sense. the next question concerns the sunroof. i dont have an eletric sunroof on my car (for the moment anyway) but i do have rear eletric windows, my hope is that i can using a relay take a feed for the power roof to close my rear power windows that way i would have full total closure can anyone point me in the right direction as to which wires power the power roof i couldnt tell what year the corrado was to know for sure if it had the power roof close feature (i have read other posts thats say this was not available on earlier models) but there was a loom that ran from the control box up the rear archway into the roof lining, its possible this was something else however it could also have gone up to the power roof. the part number for the control box i have is 191 959 875 and on the connections is has all these numbers 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 one of the plugs 21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28 another of the plugs 31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38 another of the plugs (power supply plug i believe) also i do not have a key hole on the passanger side of my car so i could use the wiring from here to activate/disactivate the total closure from the alarm, if there are no specific wires on the control unit for the job also im not sure weather i will be able to encoperate the switch into my mk2 handles anyway so might not be able to use the door lock feature at all so if anyone an tell me which wire on my toad control box to use and how to connect it up it would be most apriciated infact any information on the toad alarm or the corrado window system would be greatly apriciated thankyou in advance
