It idles fine, and goes upto 1024 as you'd expect... but then hits 1024 and stays there going not one point higher no matter what. I'd expect it to shift a little depending on the speed even if the hoses where shot, or am I wrong on that ?
-
Just saw a nice guage on http://www.swgmotorsport.com/ Pity its only for the mk4 golf as that would be a nice alternative......
-
Well, the latest on this is that after a full rebuild my boost pressure is still only showing 1024.... Is there a component that sends the boost pressure to the MFA ?
-
I was thinking about the PDA option.... but so many things on ebay not sure which to buy.... Then again the tomtom software is bound to cost a fortune ontop of the hardware anyway.
-
Seen the pics on vortex, but it looks better and better each time you see it. One day I hope mine might look that good..... but I doubt it ;)
-
OMG just when I thought it couldn't get worse..... :silly:
-
Well my guess is that mines the standard 1990 suspension.... so I expect sag and then some ;)
-
Wow that's standard.... Couldn't tell to be honest. Did you go for 17's with smaller tyre walls to keep the total size pretty much the same ? Isn't the VR6 heavier and therefore a little lower anyway ?
-
Interesing... lots of views. I agree that the 17's don't look THAT bad on an unlowered C... however they do look sweeter when lowered. So I'll have to think about things. Right now I'm thinking of a set of 40mm lowering springs... like THESE and a set of 17" Tornado's Maybe the whole suspension will get an overhaul next year when I'm in Munich... Like your look sciroccotune ;)
-
If only they where this price ;) Ebay
-
Well.... if I had the money then that would be good.
-
Just the springs eh...... sounds good Thanks for the help
-
Fair enough...... Any point in going to 16s with lower profile tyres ? or a cheap way of dropping the car 40mm
-
 Yeah.... but lowering properly is gonna cost me big bucks and blow my whole budget for the wheels... it's a catch22 situation
-
Hmm... nice. Although why they inisist on stick the word GTI on anything they think is sporty is stil lbeyond me. People take one look and know it's sporty, why rub it in....
-
For a guide... these are the sort of alloys I'm looking at... Although I'm also tempted by these as well...

I need to get myself some nice wheels to replace the rather rusted and boring ones I have.... However I'm not looking at lowering the suspension right now as I'll be driving alot in Austria next year and snow doesn't agree with low.... So the questions is, can I get a good look using larger wheels and slimer tyres, ir will it just start looking like a 4x4 jeep if I mess with it ? Don't want to really waste money on replacing the 15" ones with the same size if I can get away with it. Any pictures would be nice... as everybody seems to be lowered >_

I'm thinking of doing the whole dash and all (that I can) switches.... So if anybody has a spare instrument panel let me know as I'm bound to need one in a few weeks when I've burnt this one out ;)
-
The blue illumination looks a bit dark.... ok if you're going between 60 and 100 though....
-
Yeah me too... but it has to sound better than stock 5.25 and 4x6 run from a naff JVC CD..... Well i hope so
-
I was so hoping that that moron fell through the roof and ruined his chance to multiply...... some people should never have children.... :brickwall:
-
Well after much thought (and trying to get some sense from the supplier in Germany) I've opted for a local installer providing me an Alpine 9847R Headunit (with Aux input cable) Fitting my 5 channel amp (to power front/rear and sub) Fitting replacement front and rear speakers (already have these) Total price £310 I guess that's a good deal, but took me a lot of hunting to find it.....
-
I prefer the *run the engine for a while* option.... much more cost effective and it allows me to scrape the ice off the rest of the car anyway ;)
-
Ouch...... not sure I really need heated windscreen fluid that much
-
I prefer the smoke screen pesonally..... but I guess then they'd think you're driving a knackered out old banger and just overtake instead O.o
