Ok, so invested in some replacment 4x6's for the rears (JBL GTO 6425E) and some replacment 5.25" for the fronts (Alpine SXE-1350S). I already have a Rubicon Lil'wonder 5 amp sitting around.... So the final 2 peices of the puzzle are headunit and sub-box For the headunit I'm mulling over these right now :- Alpine 9847R (Good headunit quality wise, but no support for GigaMP3) JVC DV5101 (Supports GigaMP3 and DVD playback) Some other cheap ass MP3 headunit with USB/SD card reader Also, any suggestions on sub box's that will fit without having to resort to the £180 specially fitted one. I love music, but not THAT much.....

Does it move downwards then not slide back, if so could be the pullies. When I looked into it, I just accepted that my corrado has a tilt only sunroof ;)

Critical_Mass: Yes I know..... but is yours a 1990 from Germany (LHD)? and you never said it was factory fitted or a retro fit by somebody who likes trees a lot ? sometimes you have to be specific.... Especially when it comes to governments and their idea of what's law and what's not.... A year can make a whole lot of difference.....

There was also some evidence to prove that accidents had increased in certain locations with speed camera's due to people trying to avoid getting caught. If you come up over a hill at 10mph over the limit and see a camera you're naturally going to break and that's when you loose it, or end up getting shunted by another car doing exactly the same.. The police would say that if we didn't speed then it wouldn't be a problem. Of course the average motorist would say something unprintable and then stick up their middle finger in protest. This morning on the walk to the train station they had a mobile speed camera setup, after a bend on a steep downward hill. With a little ice on the road as well I wonder how long before somebody breaks to avoid it and ends up taking out an old lady with a bobble hat on.... O.o

Well according to MOT Tester magazine (yes they have a magazine for everything now) 6. Your vehicle has had its catalytic converter removed and replaced by a normal exhaust silencer but passes the emissions Test. Does it fail the MOT because it hasn't got a catalytic converter when it should have one? A) No, if it passes the emissions part of the MOT that is acceptable. http://www.motester.co.uk/

Having just bought myself the G60 and had the engine done at g-werks my girlfriend has asked seemingly an innocent question about wether or not it has a cat. Now I know as it's a 1990 it's not a problem here.... but it seems like in Austria (yes my girlfriend is an Austrian hotty) it is a problem. You all know Austria is big on nature right... well, now I'm worried. Oh and know nothing about cars. As it was a German import I also can't read the manual to save my life. So please can some nice person please put me out of my misery and help me with this. Cat or no Cat.... Good or not good ? that is the question :cry:

haha.... ok, in the last month I've seen one (not counting the ones at G-werks. So I'll have to check against another early model right ? Guess I'll have to live with it for now.

Ok, here's what I've found so far.... Mines a 1990 G60 with a guage that says it will take up to 15 Gallons. As mines a LHD German import what do you recon the changes are that the dash dials have been changed for later ones as the >92 model C's take 70L instead of the early 50L right ? So, reasonable logic, or just babble from a none technical idiot *rofl*

Well niggling little fault 316 for today is the fuel tank... Having popped to the local garage to fill the tank (ready for a long run tomorrow) the car was full, no way of getting anything more in the tank.... when I started up the petrol guage moved (slowly) up to about 3/4 and stopped.... So the question is, does my guage read wrong, or do I have a tank problem ?

I'll be sure to keep an eye out on my travels..... I hate to think of some nasty little kid thrashing it into the ground just for kicks. That really pisses me off. Proably too young to drive, and too young to get prosocuted for it even if he was caught.

I've been looking at getting a new headunit for my C and after the alpine MP3 I had in my old A160 I don't want to go back to naff quality.. However I've been sucked in by the thought of having IPOD support and SD/MMC card reader on the headunit. Didn't you know you can only see another C when you're in one.. spooky isn't it. At least that's my opinion as ever since I said to my girlfriend I was getting one and that I'd show her one when I see one. I've not seen a single one on the road.... That's in Austria and the UK.

For some reason it looks like my rear spoiler has been setup to raise at speeds over 70mph (yes I've had it raised) Is there a place where I can set this ?

Yeah was thinking about a new wing instead.... need to find some prices though. Funny enough I think the damage to that wing has happened overnight (since I bought the car) as it wasn't that bad yesterday. Typical eh. At least it was on an already damaged wing :lol: I got a quote by a local place for £300 for the front end respray. I'll have to get a comparison quote to make sure it's good.
