Cheers guys, am still not quite "compos mentos" on what I should do, I have lost all interest just now. Will get some photo`s up so maybe somebody will want my baby.

Can anybody give me some advise on what I should do, my valver is showing shavings of metal in the oil and is knocking which as you know is not good. I have spent the last 18 months getting her back to what a c should be and to be quite honest I am gutted and can not afford to do anything about it (in the process of moving house). Basically she has to go, my question is - do I trade her in or would somebody want to buy a c which has a engine that will need major surgery. The car is taxed till April next year and is due a mot next month all it needs is the front top strut mounts as the car had loads of work done not so long ago.

Well I have a G plate 16v and the spoiler fuse is no:16 and it is a 15 amp and the control box is tucked up under the indicator relay below the air vent. Hope this helps mate

Would like to add that there is a screw in the top left vent (center console) pain in the backside to remove but if you don`t you are going to make a mess of the dash.Apart from that follow the instructions :scatter:

Had similar problems changed clocks and all runs fine :scatter:

Due to the weirdness of the corrado, i have been lucky, but expecting this 2 go sometime- i would like to thank you very much "Chuck" 4 this info as my matrix emptied itself 2day on my feet and was told that the dash would need 2 b removed!!!! Cheers mate

Just seen a guy breaking a 16v on the" bits for sale" and asked what price he is looking for so might get lucky. Called someone earlier and he said to call back on monday will let you know cheers again

Cheers KevHaywire thats what I thought, sods law mate just spent lots of cash putting things right last week, so like i say the cable ties and wood will stay for sometime till i find one

So I was leaving work put the window down to swipe out and clunk cable snapped.Now I live in Scotland and it is wet, so managed to wedge it up. Now people this is the best bit I phoned VAG just for a laugh to get a price £183 plus vat. So now I hope I can find one in a scrappy until then a few cable ties and a bit of wood will do. Does anybody know if the golf or any other make will fit?????????

Had same problem with valves, went to b&q got a length of copper pipe and have had heat since last year with no leaks or explosions

have you looked at your voltage regulator.Had same type of problem even took bosch silver back to shop same thing happened a month later with new one.Checked regulator and the brushes were goosed.No problems since.

I have just been asking the same questions with a valver and reckon I have wrong sensors so hopefully these are the same answers for you black sensor 1.4 yellow wire and brown sensor 0.3 blue/black wire. Hope this helps

Can somebody confirm that the 2 sensors around the oil pump are white and black on a 1990 1.8 16v, as they have been changed due to the buzzer and flashing lights going off, problem is the light still flashes, this was done at a garage and I reckon the one nearest the block should be brown and it`s not the pump as the engine would be dead by now.
