hi, iv just finished my gearchange, a computer whizz mate worked out a system with air rams run through a plc and electronic valves , now i have a sequential gear leaver, pull back to go up the gears, forward to go down, i have a air suspension pump which runs 130 psi regulated down to 90 psi for the rams . i still have to use the clutch but then the change is nearly instant, 2nd to 3rd and back again are the slowest which is set at 0.2 secs, only thing is i only have 1sr 2nd 3rd 4th and reverse no 5th but i can live with 140 mph. i will put some pics on in the next few days. cheers

i had a wee run-in with the tyre barrier a couple of weeks ago here is the before and after pics, surprising but i managed to collect all the bits to fibreglass it back together. thankfully winter is coming lots of dark nights in my garage.

hi, im thinking about tyring to make my mid engined corrado gear change electronic as the cable change i have fitted sometimes lets me down, i am wanting to fit some sort of solinoides system to the gearbox shaft and am looking for any info if someone out there has already tried this, so far i cant find anything, one of my mates said he seen someone using starter motor solinoides but cant remember where, any help will be appreciated. cheers

hi, i had my first event last weekend at littleferry golspie and won my class by 4 secs,i didnt break the record though ,1 sec away from it, i bet a noble m12 on both days so that in itself made my weekend along with no breakdowns. photos can be seen on www.angusmackay.co.uk an independent photographer that was there, go to events then slide numbers 78, 80, 81, 82, 122, 124, 230, 232, 234, 241, 243 are me and numbers 79 and 228 are the noble i bet. hope you enjoy the pics also a lot of interesting cars on the rest of the pics. cheers

iv fitted a bias valve in the brake line to sort that out.

first the rear brakes are saab 9000 front calipers and discs, and the fronts were all i could afford at this time with £100 feroda racing pads with grooved discs which are have amazing stopping power now compared to road pads, as for the bodywork hopefully if my driving gets a bit better than last year the bodywork will stay in shape, i am up againt subaru,s and evo,s and a lotus exige, and a few bike powered kit cars,which are all proper built racing cars costing a fortune ,to date i am about £5k for my car so im doing not to bad.

im not sure what kit it is, it was off of e-bay advertised as corsa wide body kit and i needed something to cover the wide track but it was still 5" to narrow so i cut and folded out the metal arch and then fixed the fiberglass on then lots of body filler now its 7 foot wide, i underestimated how wide it was yesterday and reversed into my garage door pillar so i need i but more filler again.

unfortunately my closest 1/4 mile is in crail 250miles away so i have not been yet but i had an impreza p1 which was rather fast and this is a lot quicker so would estimate about 12 secs, i wouold be dissapointed if its slower than this as it does not spin off the line and pully strong to 7000 revs in every gear up to 4th but havnt had the bottle to try 5th yet.

at first the running gear was mounted in a metro but it was crap as it was to short and would not drive straight , i had a g60 rado at the time and loved it then i spotted this shell on e bay and got it for £50 but had to travel 900 mile round trip to get it and it was completely bare not a single bolt left on it and the process started then, her is a few photos along the way starting with my g60 . sorry i dont have any videos as my camera in not digital so i cant upload but hopefully this summer il be sorted with that. cheers p.s thanks for all the positive thoughts its good to know the country has not lost its creative imagination!!!

this is my mid engine rear wheel drive corrado, 2.3l turbo saab 9000 engine and box with lsd, tdo5 turbo running 23psi boost, aqua mist water injection, water cooled alloy charge cooler, abbott ecu with no rev limiter, manual boost controller, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, accusump oil pressure system, avo adjustable coilovers, rose joint antiroll bar tie links, g60 front brakes with feroda 2500 pads, saab rear brakes, avon 10.5 x 21.5x15 rear slicks, 8x21.5x15 fronts, 300+ bhp with 0-60 in 4.5 secs, custom made body kit for a corsa made to fit, purly a track sprint car at the moment but maybe some time make it road leagal, wone 3 out of 4 sprints last year and was only beat by a cosworth powered 205.

hi, does anyone out there know where to get a set of carbon metellic front brake pads for g60 calipers, iv been told these would be the best for my sprint car but cant find a dealer who sells them . any info will be appreciated. cheers

hi, i had my first race yesterday and it went great, was leading my class all day and only 1 second off the record intill the last race then got beat by a space framed mk1 escort with a red top vauxhall in it being driven by a nutter. thought my turbo wasnt boosting right and found today i had fitted my blead valve in the wrong pipe so hopefully better next time ( crail on the 15th april)

just got word , race is cancelled for this weekend as snow is forcast for north scotland. next chance is maybe york for the mini v vw weekend in 4 weeks i think. only prob 1000 miles round trip with a trailer does not sound like fun.

the back corner windows were tricky as i need a fire wall between me and the engine , it is fixed to the roll cage so the white part you see between the door and the window has to be metal, my other option was to tint the windows and paint the white part the same tint but i dont no where to sorce a paint colour like that. pissing rain up here today so my slicks might of been a waste of money for this weekend.

its just for hillclimbs and sprints this year, maybe on the road next year, i will be happy for any suggestions , last year was scarry i had old hard slicks so not much grip and no body kit for down force, now iv just fitted new sticky avons all round at a cost ov over 900 pound , my own design body kit, avo coilovers and thats a evo exhaust back box, boost controller so running 16 psi , lsd and abbot chip which removed the rev limiter, water cooled charge cooler, audi a6 quattro brakes, first race is on sunday so will see how i get on then.

hi, my old man has a s reg polo diesel which the abs light has been tempremental since he got it 2 years ago but the light has been on since just after passing its mot a year ago now the mot is about to run out , any ideas would be appreciated as our nearest vw dealer is 120 miles away so their diagnostics machine isnt an option at the moment. thanks

hi, i started my g60 last night and it started as usual straight away, then i had to stop it for a second then it would not start, the fuel pump is running , the plugs are sparking but no fuel is getting injected , i tested the volts at the injector rail and there is nothing, anyone got any ideas what activates the injectors, i recently put a sns stage 5.5 chip in it, is it possible its gone wrong? any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

yes the brake hose is all melted and leaking fluid now, just ordered one from goodridge. the earth lead from the throttle body to the bulk head doesnt look in great shape ,this could be the problem
