  1. went through a big puddle last night and my electrics seem to have suffered. the car dies unless the throttle is wide open and will only accelerate with full gas.

other than spraying everything with wd40, any ideas. its a 2.0 16v K plate btw.

    thanks!

  2. Mine's got a sigma alarm fitted (dont know which model) and ive got the fob for it.

The fob LED lights when the button is pressed but the alarm just does nothing. Any ideas where I could go to bring it back to life, or is there anything I can do?

  3. i can understand that they might fit, but wouldnt the golf use different springs to the corrado?

I wouldnt mind knowing the ins and outs of this as well as my mate has a mk2 golf on highsports and he's looking to upgrade to konigsports, so i might be inheriting.

  4. its a 2.0 16v. I've just done a mini service including fuel filter change so that's all covered. It was RR by Scarlett not so long back (I think it's on the Stealth DVD) and came out at 141bhp i think. So I'm aiming for over the 150 with the cam and K&N panel filter that I've added.

  5. I'm booked in at Stealth for next Saturday to have my KR cam put in and have it rolling roaded. Is there anything extra I should take with me or ask them to do? I've heard there is some kind of warm up regulator mod that can be done on the mk2 golfs?

  6. to be honest, its not actually as bad as it looks. it just takes time more than anything. the hardest parts were the clips around the back of the air box bit, the bolts in the scuttle tray and believe it or not, getting the glovebox out (which im not even sure we needed to do).

  7. Got round to doing my heater matrix over xmas. Big thankyou to my mate luke who was a mahoosive help. Just thought I'd post some pictures so that Scarlett could see the inside of her old car in bits. And a picture of Luke's golf in the snow, because I think it looks sweet.

It's so nice to have heat again!

  8. Decided to tackle the job of my lack of car horn today. Discovered the problem....there was no actual horn units there. After buying a horn from GSF, it turned out the connectors were different, so I made my own connector and relocated the horn unit for easy access. I'm not too sure if anyone will really care, but it might help someone out there who has had a similar problem?

  9. Good to see you've got the new wheels on without them rubbing. Now i know i could go for 16x9s if i wanted! Spent all day today adapting my old speakers so they plugged into the vw speaker looms and making my head unit fit! Had a bit of a shock filling up with petrol as well, im used to a metro being filled up on £15, so putting £40 in the rado and only having 3/4 of a tank was a bit crazy. I love the car tho!
