  1. its great fun doing a matrix in the winter. Back the car into a garage and put a greenhouse heater on, you'll be fine!
  2. fastest car ive been in...probably my mates supercharged 306 gti6 (391 bhp). It's quite insane. Although another friend has a GT-Four which is currently undergoing quite a major power hike. Fastest ive owned would have to be my old metro gti (125bhp by the time i got rid of it). I was quite dissappointed when i realised that my corrado wasnt as quick to 60 as the old tin can.
  3. just a quick update if anyones interested: car still wouldnt idle right the next day, so i disconnected the battery, left it for 10 mins, reconnected and what do u know....it worked!
  4. cheers everyone! i think i'll try spraying a bit of wd40 on everything and hoping the sun has dried up all the rain a little bit. other than that, i'll be hitching a lift home!
  5. went through a big puddle last night and my electrics seem to have suffered. the car dies unless the throttle is wide open and will only accelerate with full gas. other than spraying everything with wd40, any ideas. its a 2.0 16v K plate btw. thanks!

    Sigma

Mine's got a sigma alarm fitted (dont know which model) and ive got the fob for it. The fob LED lights when the button is pressed but the alarm just does nothing. Any ideas where I could go to bring it back to life, or is there anything I can do?
  7. yup, ive got scarlett's old valver and that has a KR cam in it now. Put out a healthy 158.2bhp on stealths rollers. Was lusting after that bloke's green audi TT engined 'rado though!
  8. Just out of interest, how much would you be looking for to do a 1.8T? I'm sure there would be a lot of interest around here if the price is right.
  9. i can understand that they might fit, but wouldnt the golf use different springs to the corrado? I wouldnt mind knowing the ins and outs of this as well as my mate has a mk2 golf on highsports and he's looking to upgrade to konigsports, so i might be inheriting.
  10. we need more threads like this. it had me in stitches!
  11. very tidy indeed mate. two more doors than I'd generally go for but lookin sweet none the less. Mind if I ask how much you paid for it?
  12. cheers jim. i knew there would be something I'd have to do. will get that sorted at the weekend.
  13. its a 2.0 16v. I've just done a mini service including fuel filter change so that's all covered. It was RR by Scarlett not so long back (I think it's on the Stealth DVD) and came out at 141bhp i think. So I'm aiming for over the 150 with the cam and K&N panel filter that I've added.
  14. I'm booked in at Stealth for next Saturday to have my KR cam put in and have it rolling roaded. Is there anything extra I should take with me or ask them to do? I've heard there is some kind of warm up regulator mod that can be done on the mk2 golfs?
  15. yeah, forgot to mention that getting the glovebox back in was equally as difficult. I used the guide as below and to be honest I would have struggled without it: http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/ultima ... 112#000003
  16. Thanks to veedub-g60 for the nice kr cam he sent me in time for xmas. it'll be fitted at stealth soon hopefully!
  17. to be honest, its not actually as bad as it looks. it just takes time more than anything. the hardest parts were the clips around the back of the air box bit, the bolts in the scuttle tray and believe it or not, getting the glovebox out (which im not even sure we needed to do).
  18. Got round to doing my heater matrix over xmas. Big thankyou to my mate luke who was a mahoosive help. Just thought I'd post some pictures so that Scarlett could see the inside of her old car in bits. And a picture of Luke's golf in the snow, because I think it looks sweet. It's so nice to have heat again!
  19. Decided i didnt actually want a picture up.
  20. picture was taken on a camera phone, which is why it looks an odd colour. i can assure you it is actually flame red/pink tho.
  21. Decided to tackle the job of my lack of car horn today. Discovered the problem....there was no actual horn units there. After buying a horn from GSF, it turned out the connectors were different, so I made my own connector and relocated the horn unit for easy access. I'm not too sure if anyone will really care, but it might help someone out there who has had a similar problem?
  22. jus out of interest, where did you get your black badgeless spoiler with eyebrow? because i think that's probably going to be my first mod!
  23. Good to see you've got the new wheels on without them rubbing. Now i know i could go for 16x9s if i wanted! Spent all day today adapting my old speakers so they plugged into the vw speaker looms and making my head unit fit! Had a bit of a shock filling up with petrol as well, im used to a metro being filled up on £15, so putting £40 in the rado and only having 3/4 of a tank was a bit crazy. I love the car tho!
  24. thanks everyone, i might try an snap these up. Although I wont actually be able to afford any petrol afterwards!
  25. It was a g60 advertised on the clubgti forum, so chances are it is the person you think it is. Any ideas on how much these wheels would cost? Or would I pass out if you told me?
