well it failed the MOT on the main beams this morning. now i have to go out n get wet trying to find out why! does anyone know if the main beams have their own relay? i cant find it if they do
-
thanx for the input mate... think it mite be time to pull the rado's dash apart yet again!
-
Mine has always been like that! about 3300rpm is the worst point for me...feels like a powerdrill behind the dash lol  changed the front mount which had made no difference, i'll be changing the others soon ish.... hopefully thats all it is
-
Hey neil, it did have, looked like it had been thrown in to me though, so i ripped it out. the wiring is now back to standard. but the main beams were never part of the uprated loom on mine anyway... only the dipped....
-
I've been messin around with the rado today.... a while ago the main beams stopped working completely, but i dont use them much anyway(!), so i've only just got around to having a look why... fuse's are fine but no voltage for the main beams at the lights??? i've recently replaced the headlight switch (due to internal collapse!) and the indicator and wiper stalks are new as well... dont ask why  anyones ideas would be greatly apreciated!
-
well i got the fusebox out but jesus its a mess  the wiring diagram i got says pin 1 of A2 as well so its gotta be correct and theres no cable there  think it must've been pulled out before when the corrado has had numerous other faults in its life. looked for the cable for ages but couldnt find it, its just such a mess!!! probably gonna run a new one at some point but it was gettin dark so i gave up for today.... at least we're gettin somewhere now...

i've jus been under the bonnet and saw the connector by the starter... that hasnt got any power either, so looks like its dash apart time tomora yet again :( got a wiring diagram so should be able to trace it, anyone got any tips?
-
Have u checked the voltage your battery's at with the engine running? i know mine are well slow if the voltage is low,i think it should be at about 14v if its charging correctly
-
cheers matt, I'll have a look tomoro in the light... any idea where the cable is originally supplied from??
-
Hiya peoples, jus wondered if anyone else has had the same problem as me, i've used the search but found nothing so far.... I've got no 12v feed from the blue cable to the alternator, i think this cable passes though the battery light on the dash. Which would make sense because i've never seen it light up! Putting the cable to earth doesnt make the light come on either  So i've had to make up my own feed to start the alternator charging, but i've got no battery light at the moment and plugging in a cable everytime i get in the car gets a bit tedious. I lost count the amount of times i've forgotten to unplug it and came back to a flat battery :( Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hey guys, i've jus taken great pleasure in throwing my old powerflow system in the bin... it knocked, rattled, hit the rear beam constantly and cracked round the welds. Just installed a milltek and am very impressed!!!!!! :) It went straight on, no knocks... loadsa rear beam clearance and sounds great, not boomy at all. Theres even a BIG increase in low to midrange grunt! Cant get the grin off my face now  (the mfa is even showing a better mpg reading!)

hello to you all! Too right i've neva sat in the bak! not many people fit behind me either... but i like to drive my car rather than ferry people around 8) I love my leather, but tryin to find a part of the heated seat loom is impossible. Was goin to make one up but afraid of making things pop...
-
Bigfoot is more referring to my size being 6ft6... but does go well with my driving style too sometimes :D The dash inserts are silver and i wasnt sure about them, but they've started to grow on me now, mite still change em at some point. Sorry bout the shorthand, am too used to chattin on the net... jus comes naturally now The hendersons are great by the way ;)
-
well i've replaced the nearside lower arm bushes, gonna be doin the other side soon, as well as the rack and arb bushes... mite do the ball joints while i'm there too 8-) prolly gonna use standard vw bushes cos i've heard things about powerflex being a bit harsh for road use. I think dark burgandy is the correct colour name... but looks like dark purple to me lol :-D
