Hmm, I think you will need one of this: Never to dim :D Four 0805-SMD LED per dail (12 in sum), full dim-able. Feasible in bright, brighter or extra bright :D Special fitted to our VDO Corrado clusters. The same for the LCDs:

@idlewillkill See post #29, please :)

Hello guys, now I want to update you ;) Yes, Miles has sent me a complete HVAC unit of a RHD. That absolute freaky!! The trust in me is incredible! It's most appreciated. Thanks a million! Now I've started the project RHD-HVAC At first I've taken a photo from the 2 units, the LHD and the LHD. Here it is (left is LHD you can guess witch is the RHD :-) ) At next step I've scanned the backside of the RHD-Bezel. I've imported the file to an graphic program and I've added the right LED-Positions to get a homogeneous illumination. This positions are only for the red PCB. So I've to build a file like his for the green and the blue PCB's. Then I will start to draw the schematic circuit diagram for each color. After this I will import the outline with the LED-Position into the CAD-Program to draw the conducting paths. I will inform you about the next steps. When I have ready all 3 layouts with the 3 "CNC-Milling-Files", we can start the group buy. As God wills next weekend. :dance:

Yes, I know James and his famous products. I've mailed very often with him. I’ve build an instrument cluster in cooperation with him for a good friend of James. But the difference is the way to illuminate the HVAC. I will always use LEDs, because the colors are real, the blue is blue not cyan, the red is red not purple and LEDs are much brighter, will live longer and comes without any converter. Just 12V in and it will glow ;-) The brightness is normally dimmable. And converters will squeak. But the printed EL-Sheets are good at the price. LED tech is dearer. It will need a new foil and a specialized PCB with many LEDs to get a smooth illumination without any hot spots. So I think every product has it own advantages or otherwise. To the best of my belief, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Here some pictures of the earlier HVAC: The DDI Style (matching with the DDI gauges faces) DDI Style off DDI Style on DDI Style PCB The 5dOt1 Style w/o AC The Set Set off Set on OEM+ but blue style w/o AC: The Set Behind The Set mounted The Set on And last, but not least... OEM+, blue with AC: The Set The Set lit I've build some other more since 2005, but the most only for one car, so I habe no photos. I've build a green one like the OEM+ style w/o AC, but I don't can find a photo. The most I've made was the DDI and the OEM+ in blue. The blue one ist favorit, if anybody has changed the switches to red and the cluster to blue with red LCDs. Ahhh OK, I understand. I think it is a good system to kill ads. Dude, I will PM you asap, I have a nice idea :thumbleft:

Hmm whats that? Can anybody tell me why? ---------- Post added at 11:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:54 AM ---------- @CazzaVR Yes! The Green one is exactly what you mean. I was a little bit too slow with my post ;)

Here the pics I've talking about: Later style: General: The set (this is what you get) 1x PCB with ca. 50 SMD-LEDs (ready soldered of course) 4x special knob LEDs (one for spare) 2x knob LED wires 1x knob LED connector 1x connector for voltage in 1x assembly instruction 1x "the making of" Video-DVD (not needed, but nice to see...) Green V2.1 PCB off PCB on completed Blue V2.0 PCB off true color maximum brightness Red V2.0 PCB off PCB on completed So guys... These parts are all of LHD of course. To make PCBs for the RHD I need help. I don't have ever seen a RHD unit. so I need a good and clear photo from a unit with a demounted bezel and I need a 300 dpi scan from the backside of a bezel without the inner parts like this scan from the LHD bezel: CLICK I need it, because I'm not sure about some holes and the final positions for some LEDs. Pics about the earlier style HVAC will you get if anybody will answer my question (3th try...): Is the LHD and the RHD heat/ventilation Unit identical? I think yes, but I want a simple shot to get sure. Thanks in advance!

@dumptyboy No, it isn't the same. I have to change the LED positions, so I have to redesign the PCBs for each color sets. @Dude VR6 At first I have to finished the product. I don't will get money for parts they never build. I don't have a business. All I do I do it for hobby and only for the Corrado-Fans. So please be patient. Thx a lot :-)

OK. I will upload some pics tomorrow, but the later styled HVAC will look like the one that is posted at first here :-) Available in red, green, blue and white for LHD. For the earlier styled I need help. Is the RHD HVAC-Control the same like LHD? Is there anybody how will take a photo for me? The price is 50 EUR ~ 40 GBP plus shipping.

Hello guys. Here I am :-) The reason is, I have not that time to do build this controls like 2008 and the other problem is, if UK will get PCB's for the later styled C, I have to renew the PCB's because the RHD Corrados have the ventilation switch on the right, not on the left side. You know what I mean? So I have to edit the complete layout. That’s a lot of work and only for one heater control...? I'm not sure for the earlier styled Corrado. There I need some help. Is it the same like the LHDs? So.. if you will start a group buy and we can get a package of 6 later styled (LHD too) and/or 8 for the earlier styled Corrado, I will do it. These pieces of parts will make a complete PC to engrave and cutout, so is practicable for me. It is a lot of work to restart the CNC milling machine, too. The machine has paused over one year now ;-)
