hmmm they seem to have fixed themselves! tried the switch for one final time today and it worked!
-
nobody? :( i hope it doesnt rain!
-
the switches are still lit up yeah. the alarm arms/disarms etc but the windows dont go up when you arm it, although this never worked when i got the car. the windows just used to do up a little bit when you armed the car, which i always thought was odd but sort of ignored cos it didnt really matter.

hi all, a really odd thing happened just now. got in my car and tried to start it up but the starter motor died and the drivers side window went half up by itself (both windows were open). i then went to do the windows up and they dont work. when you press the button nothing happens, no noise of motors trying to work or anything. i have checked the fuses and they are fine. any ideas? i have a clifford total closure alarm, could this be affecting it? need help asap as obviously my car is at risk with its windows open and i park it on the road :? im also going away for a week tomorrow so dont know what the hell to do  cheers guys

hi guys sorry if this has been covered before, but i couldnt find anything on the search :? on the way to work today my steering started going crazy. every time i touched the accelerator the steering wheel started juddering, and it got progressively worse over the next 2 miles or so, until it was just juddering constantly and felt like it wanted to pull left. it did happen for about 5-10 minutes on the motorway about a week ago, but it was nowhere near this bad and did stop doing it. any ideas? wheel bearing perhaps? any help appreciated as i still have to drive it home and dont want to do any more damage! thanks! 8)

its chipped already, and has been popping flames quite a bit when low on petrol and nicely warmed up, always on the gear change between 1st 2d and 3rd 8)
-
andy vr6 how do i do that? sorry ive just realised i pretty much posted the same thing twice thiking i had posted the other thread on another forum! stoney, as i said im just interested to see it working, and i think itd probably be pretty jokes on a dark night! i do pop flame very occasionally anyway on gear changes, especially if the car has low petrol, but thats not from the flamer kit its just natural, and it is VERY occasionally.

so is that a no then? :?

my head gasket went about 3 months ago and i spent 2 months fixing it. It happened while i was driving along and i didnt notice till i stopped when it was too late...the engine had cooked itself and i hadnt noticed because the water temp needle hadnt risen, and back then i rarely checked oil temp. Had to change Head Gasket, Coolant Flanges, Thermostat (ended up just removing this completely), Thermostat Housing, Radiator, 2 Pipes, Radiator Switch and have the head skimmed. I was unlucky too, no symptoms or anything that indicated it was going to happen before it happened. Oil was fine, no smoke from exhaust, and the engine seemed to run perfectly. Wasnt even loosing water quickly! Turned out it had split between the 1st and 2nd cylinder, which is quite common apparently. So yeah, be careful! haha.

the standard airbox wont suck in as much air and so you will loose a little performance. this is also the reason the whistle has got quieter :)

sorry i must just be crap at using the search :S where can i find that pipe? found a nice pillar pod on venom motorsport so all im guna order that :)
-
hi just a couple of quick questions! firstly, how do you fit a boost gauge to a g60? is there a pipe from the supercharger or do i take it from the ECU? has anybody got a tutorial or anything on how to do this? secondly, does anybody know where i can get a pillar pod? or where is a good place to mount it without a pillar pod and how? at the minute its down underneath the head unit in front of the gearstick, but its a real bitch to see it. sorry if this has been done before, but i couldnt get anything on the search option! thanks guys 8)

im in high wycombe, so not far from MK at all. Ive been to MK cruise before, but never in my own car so im looking forward to it! haha i could T-Cut the golf, but to be honest its beyond it. Bodywork is a bit of a state! I paid £50 for the thing and only use it when the rado is out of action. My mate smashed the rear window on it the other day by putting his guitar amp in the back and slamming the boot shut on it, hence all the bin bags taped to the back of it! lol.
-
cheers guys 8) bally it would have probably been the last owner you spoke to at MK cruise, although dont worry itll be back there! itll be at all the cruises now :D madscientist the doors have door poppers, so you just press a button on the key fob and the door pops open

due-ly noted! i dont like that either!
