See I'm a bit confused over what I think is the water pump and what I think is the steering pump. What I'm thinking now is that in Drewiee's first pic the bottom pump which is connected to the crank on its own belt is the power steering pump and the pump directly over that (not in view) is the water pump. It's the pump that's not in view that is causing me problems and what I need to replace. So to confirm is the pump in the first pic the power steering pump?

Whoops yeah I think I've confused the water pump with the power steering pump. The one that's having problems is the one on the serpentine belt so it must be the water pump, I'll take out the charger and dig down from there. Cheers :D

Cheers lads really appreciate the help! Right I'm a tiny bit confused, looking at the engine side on I have on the bottom left my Crank pulley then to the right (very slighty higher) connected by the serpentine blet I have what I think is the power steering pulley, the water pump I think is the lowest pulley on the bottom right connected by a seperate toothed belt. What I've done so far is undo the tensioner at the top of the engine which is connected right beside the altenator which has released the tension on the serpentine belt. with this free I've managed to take off what I think is the power steering pulley and then I stopped working as I was going for the water pump and didn't really know what I was doing. Can you guide me from here, do I need to take the water pump off and then try take the power steering pump out the bottom of the engine or am I taking out the charger and going in from the top? Bottom line is it a case of me having to take apart a load of the engine bay to get this out or should it be relatively straight forward? Cheers :D

Hi Folks, There's a bit of noise coming out of my engine on my Corrado G60 and I've pretty much narrowed it down to the power steering pump. The steering's been noisy for ages and now there's a bit of play in the pulley. What I can't figure out is what the easiest way is to get the pump out? I've tried going in from underneath but the water pump's a bit hard to remove and I don't know what else will be in the way once it's gone. Can anyone recommend how I get it out? Also any ideas on where to source a replacement?

Cheers Mate, went off and bought myself a new ignition switch and then got the car home on the back of a recovery truck. Was going to chance doing the repair in the car park but with it being a redciously busy car park I thought the extra space at home would be the best bet. Long story short after removing everying there was an inline fuse added was connected to the ignition switch that had blown, I replaced that and she was singing again  Apologies for not using the search but was fairly flustered and didn't know where to start looking, thanks again!!!

Hi Folks, Having a bit of a problem with my Corrado at the moment, for the last few days I've noticed the car hasn't been idling properly and has cut out on me once or twice (give it a bit of gas to go and then it sorta dips and cuts out). Today this happened, was driving ok for about 10 minutes and then going up a hill it cut out, tried to start it and it wouldn't even click. What's strange is that the row of red lights that come on when you turn the key aren't coming on but everything else looks to have power (lights/interior lights/dash/radio/alarm). There were floods here last week and I drove it through a couple of big puddles so I'm reckoning that might have something to do with it? I've checked the fuses, tried jumping it in case there was a problem with the batt but all to no avail. Any ideas what to check next? Pushed car into a car park so she's sleeping there tonight :mad2:

Top notch answer! I'll let you know how I get on, might be a couple of weeks before I get my teeth into it though :( Thanks a million, no idea how helpful this is!

I've the usual tilt-but-not-slide sunroof and I'm trying to take it apart to figure out what's wrong with it. I've searched everywhere but can't find a good guide and from sitting in and out of the car I can't see any logical way of taking it apart. Anyone got any good guides? How do I remove the plastic switch area inside the car? (the one with the overhead lights in it) And how do I remove the glass / removable headlining? Cheers!

Folks, On the hunt for a Corrado G60 at the moment but after a) not finding the perfect one and cool.gif thinking about it logically I don't know if it is a G60 that I need (/really want). I'm coming from an R33 Skyline so want to look forward to * Better MPG from my petrol * Lower tax * Cheaper (realistic) insurance quotes I'd like to start driving decent distances but have been dodging it for petrol cost reasons. * I like the G60 for it's forced induction meaning cheap tax bracket vs performance. * Insurance companies actually give proper quotes * Good bit of poke Do I really need a G60 though? It's going to be slowish compared to almost 300bhp so is the speed going to matter? Plus the VRT seems to be a throw of a dice at the moment. Would a 1.8 16v or 2 litre be more what I'm looking for? Bad point for going for a non-G60 is that I'd like to do it up a bit (tastefully) so I'm a bit concerned about putting my money into a non G60 seeing as the 1.8 or 2.0 aren't ever really going to be proper classic sought after cars...
