After a night at the NW Dubs meet, a load of us drove into central London to take some shots at the awesome grafiti tunnel by Waterloo.... If your ever in the area....A must place to go to and take some shots!! =)

So.....after getting the bumper sorted I went for a set of Merc 8 holes - laved with gloss black inserts. 16x7.5j and ran 25mm adaptors up front and 30mm on the rears. I also opted for the gloss black grill with chrome VW badge, figured it would give the front end a fresher look =) I also got a friend of mine to detail the car. After 4 hours of some claying, compounding and polishing she looked like this:

Hey guys, Looking for a set of 17x8 RH ZW1 for my Corrado. Hoping someone may have a set forsale. Located in North London. Cheers, Jonathan

Continuing my string of bad luck; I was pulling out of a side road crossing over the traffic when a motor bike was driving on the wrong side of the road smacked into my front bumper. The crash was so loud and he flew some serious distance!! =S Luckily he wasn't hurt as he was wearing full body armour. We settled it outide of our insurance companies....he took full blame as I gathered enough witnesses that saw him speeding on the wrong side of the road. Got her all fixed up within 2 weeks. I also opted for the smaller 50mm front spoiler as the 90mm one was cracked to ****!!

A month after putting these wheels on I had a blow out on the A406. Like an idiot; I lost the locking wheel nut, so like a cowboy I tried to drill it out. Didn't have much luck but luckily my brother saw a mobile tyre fitter van....and he used his special tool and removed it in 5 minutes!! haha Obviously with this wheel being badly damaged I opted to putting the speedlines back on. =)

I was out driving one night and this random guy in the petrol station came up and offered me some 16" alloys for £150 with brand new tires. At the time they looked 'OK' and bought them. Looking back now.....they looked AWFUL!! lol I guess that's hindsight for ya!! hehe I also bought an FK badgeless grill and a Kamei grill spolier which I colour coded. I never got a decent clean pictures of the rado but this is what she looked like:

Thanks Rob, Always wanted the Dark burgundy pearl!!! =)

Cheers mate!! =) ---------- Post added 20th August 2011 at 12:08 AM ---------- Previous post was 19th August 2011 at 11:59 PM ---------- Performance upgrades was for me the main thing I wanted. Very quickly I started collecting parts from the forum. The first item was a ported and polished throttle body. Luckily a former member on here (bananawhip) was putting his VR back to stock. I snapped up his: SP263 cams Neuspeed power pulley kit Thermo Inlet manifold gasket BMC CDA And the party piece....Exhaust flap. To this day it's still my favourite mod and always puts a smile on my face. I still needed to get her re-mapped but the car felt a little better and sounded tons better once I got all these parts on.

Hey guys, This thread I’m starting is well overdue, lots will be missing as I never took many pictures of the progress made. I bought my 1993 OBD1 Dark Burgundy Pearl VR back in Nov 2009. Picked it up for £2200 and the only mod it had was a beautiful sounding; but very restrictive aftermarket exhaust, I think it was a powerflow. I had 2 massive folders of recepits and I was the 4th owner. One of the reasons I bought this particular car was that it had a recon VEGE engine...The chasis had 132K and the VEGE engine was put in at 100K. From the huge amount of history and receipts the car seemed very honest. The first thing I did was spend a small fortune buying loads of new sensors like Lambda, water temp, MAF, also new wishbones, track rod ends, also a set of AP coilovers. I also sprayed the rear lights red. This is how she looked after the first few weeks.

Hey guys, Mine was the burgundy VR6 with the smooth bumpers which was parked next to the White G60 (steve i think his name was). Was a nice day out. Thanks again gor OSV for hooking me up with the heater controls at a top price. Shame I didnt get to see anyone else on the club stand. Hope to get a few more things sorted out in time for the next show.
-
Hery Neal, Thanks for the offer....I think I'm able to glue it back to together as the new head unit will mask it anyways. Cheers Jonathan =)
-
Hey OSV, I'll defo take em at £40. I take it they're in pefect working order. You going to GTI Intl this weekend? I'm going on the Sunday. If not, I'll send you my address. Cheer jonathan =)

Hey, In need of late heater controls. My VR got broken into and they smashed it up when stealing my head unit. In the process they broke the plastic border part so in need of that also. I'm located in North London Hope someone can help. Many thanks Jonathan =) 07939 318 969

I'll be there also. Hope Tempest still has passes for the stand!! =S

Hey Neal, Sorry for the late reply. I managed to source a window from a mate. Many thanks, Jonathan =)

Thanks guys for the responses.... =D Got my car back this evening from my mechanic. He tried to locate the pulsoids in the scuttle panel but said the wiper motor made it difficult to properly mount them there.....so he mounted them on the inner wing under my BMC CDA. Only problem is that in the installion manual says the pulsoid should preferably be a maximum 12" away from the jet. Mine r about double the distance. Worried this will affect the perforamance. What do u guys think? Leave the pulsoids there or move them? The only benefit of being by my air filter is that it's a cold part of the engine bay.

Dude.....2 years?? :S I got mine installed the day after I bought the kit!!! Get it in there mate!!!!! Yes, I do have a progressive controller..... The engine I have is solid so I'm sure the rings r fine, as for the clutch that seem perfectly fine too.... Don't think I'll bother using NOS in first gear, defo set the controller to have 100% NOS from around 4-4.5k rpm through to redline. Thinking of building up to a 75hp shot should be fine......booking my car into for a rolling road setup with a WON agent this weekend!!
-
Hey guys, I've just bought a WON NOS kit, with bottle warmer and the basic controller..... Getting it installed over the next few days by my mechanic then off to one of WON's agents to setup the controller and off I go. Question is....Is there anyone on here running NOS? If so, what shot r u running? My engine is a VEGE engine...only done 32K miles and is sweet as a nut. currently running Schimmel 263 cam, ported/polished TB, lightend pulley kit, BMC and full exhaust. What can the engine/clutch hold? Any info would be much appreciated. Jon =)
-
Thanks for that guys.....i just got back from meeting Fred from 'art of speed'. He cleared all the faults for me, there were more faults than I thought. The only fault that kept coming back was the Inlet temp sensor. Next time I'm stuck I'll just disconnect the battery! Thanks again Jonathan =)
-
Hey guys, I plugged my Corrado VR6 up to my mates vagcom and it came up with: Air mass meter Lambda sensor ISV I have changed all of these but since then my mates laptop has gone 'KAPUT' so am unable to clear the faults. If I havent cleared these faults would my ecu still read the faults thus making my car run possibly down on power? Or would the ecu adjust itself and run as normal? To be fair, shes runs 'sweet as a nut' now but have doubts. Would clearing the faults potencially unleash a few more horses???? Any comments or advise will be much appreciated. Jonathan =)

Hey guys, As stated in the the subject.....does anyone know how to remove the plastic runners? Any advise is much appreciated!!! Jonathan =)
