  1. Hi all, I will be getting my rado vr soon hopefully and will want to lower it as they are sooo high standard and also im getting some deep dish wheels which would look much better on a lowered vr :D I have had a look on the suspension guide post and it seems Koni and H&R are the way to go. However these are an expensive option by the looks of it. Has anyone got the eibach springs on theres? If so are these any good? Or does anyone know any alternatives or good cheap sites etc? Thanks. Rob H.
  2. Is there a lower model then? Thats a point actually i 4got the mention i would also lower it lol. Whats a good drop on these? I dont want it too low but i want it to look good with deep dish wheels and to still be practical. Cheers.
  3. Yeah blackberry is an amazing colour but they are SOOOO rare! If any come up for sale its either chavved up, one was an LPG conversion, or has no leather etc. I found a dealer that has a blackberry one for sale which looks MMMMMINT but its £4,995 with 128k miles which is pricey! If this has leather i will go and have a look hopefully (depending on whether anyone wants my car or not :()
  4. Yeah it looks a nice colour. I do like the moonlight blue and would get one if it was a good car at good price etc but i prefer the shinier colours like blackberry pearl, aqua blue pearl etc
  5. I would mod it yeah, not majorly as they are stunning looking cars as standard. All i would do is get some 9x16 deep dish wheels on, tint it, spray the tail lights all red and get clear side repeaters, and a badgless grill thats about it really. Im liking the colour too, i just thought it was moonlight blue but he states its violet pearl and it has a nice shine to it :D
  6. Thanks for your quick replies guys (poet and dint even know it lol) its easy on the eyes, hope theres no surprise ... ok i'l stop that now lol. It does look mint and it has fsh, it doesnt state what interior it has, iv sent the guy an email asking if its leather as ideally i would like leather for that price as well. He has ono on so obviously he wants less so i think if he breaks down to 4.5k that would be good for me.
  7. There are some lower mileage ones around mate. Look on pistonheads as there are a couple with really low miles :)
  8. Hi all, I just looked on autotrader (again!) and a new rado vr has been added, here are the details: 86,000 miles, Twilight violet pearl (never heard that colour before). FSH. TOAD Cat1 alarm immobiliser. CD Changer. Unmodified. Taxed with 1yr MOT. Excellent condition inside and out. £4,900. ono. So i would offer about £4,400-£4,500 or is it not worth that? Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4
  9. Hi, I will be getting my rado vr6 soon. Im just wondering what type of rear lights people have on their rado other than standard as i think the standard ones look dated. I think i heard somwhere about 'all red' rear lights? Is this right and where do you get them? Pics would be cool :)
  10. crdo16v, Thanks mate i will take a look. DanA, Sell sell sell :D lol only joking, keep it mate you will only regret it im sure!
  11. DanA, you selling your car by any chance mate :D lol looks lush i love the blackberry colour!
  12. Yeah i had looked at that one and it does sound a cracking buy. Only thing is though (and you probably think im being stupid) but i dont want a silver one. I dont want to buy the first one that comes along at the right price i would rather wait for the one i want. I didnt think the prices were too bad compared to those on autotrader/pistonheads etc and plus as its from a garage it would come with fresh tax/mot and warranty so it would be worth it i think. One on there has only done 98k, got fsh and has had a lady owner for past 10 years!!
  13. I have found a website for a dealer that specialises in VW's and there are a bunch of MINT rado vr6's on there! Check this out: http://www.volkscars.co.uk (Dont buy the purple one as i want it :-P lol)

  15. Thanks guys i will start looking in my local papers ten and keep my eyes on autotrader/ebay/pistonheads etc. corradovr6sc: I will check out them sites. Is your car posted in the cars for sale on this site? Cheers. Rob.
  16. Hi, I am looking to buy a corrado vr6 very soon. I have looked on ebay, autotrader and pistonheads and there are some available. Does anyone know anymore places i could look on that people would advertise on? Thanks. Rob H.
  17. Hi, I am going to get a corrado vr6 soon and have already found the wheels i want. They are 9x16's so i wanna know what size tyres would be best for them? Iv bin told 215/40/16 does that sound about right? Cheers. Rob H.
  18. Yeah i will ask a lot of questions when i go to look lol. Thanks for your help everyone its much appreciated. Hopefully i will posting up a mint vr6 soon :D
  19. How handy do you need to be as i am pretty handy i.e. i would usually change bushes, brakes, suspension etc myself but i dont wanna mess around with parts that are too hard.
  20. Thanks, i was not aware that the chains are only advised to be changed. I think thats sorted it, i will go for the lower miled one :) and thanks for the advice on checking it cold, i will look out for that, i will also print off the buyers guide from the knowledge base. Thanks again and for your help Shaggsy!
  21. Yeah i know, i am willing to spend money as i would like to get it mint. Do you know how much chains/belts are to get done? Im guessing quite a bit being an older vw. Condition wise they are great and are both enthusiasts cars so well looked after so therefore im guessin the engines should be good too. I think a low mileage one would be best as it will have less miles giving me more to play with and will be worth more if i sell it (not that i would want to lol).
  22. Well obviously i would like to spend as little as possible so basically i wanna know whether a vr with higher miles which has had fsh and belts changed etc would have any problems? Because if it will most likely have problems and a lower miled one wont and therefore would only cost me to change the belt then wouldnt that be the better deal?
  23. Hi everyone, as some most probly know i am looking to get a corrado vr6 soon. However i am stuck with what to do in regards to mileage. Most vr's for sale are over 100k miles but have full vw service history, had parts replaced including all the timing belts etc. On the other hand there are some lower miled vr's for sale with 70k miles which may still have fsh but have not yet had belts changed etc. I am stuck on which would be best to go for as the lower mileage ones are obviously low mileage and therefore good but would need the belts etc changing after a few k miles, where as a higher mileage one may have a lot of miles but has already had the belts etc changed so i would not need to get them done. As you all have corrados and know them what would be the best choice? Thanks. Rob H.
  24. I will be truthful and will go for the standard vr then me thinks lol. Cheers for your help though everyone :)
  25. Is this true? Saying that though the insurance company have both cars on their system so if i ever claimed they would know its a storm, i could just say its a storm replica though and they wouldnt know, or would they?
