Hi all, I've a dillema. I've the VR6 and a rough G60 and I love them both! But one or both have to go as I need a new car and I don't have the space to store 4 cars. I am considering selling the VR6  and keeping the G60 to sort out but I'm wondering if I've bitten off more than I can chew with the G60. Photos of it are here http://tinyurl.com/33csd it was just going to be a rat track car and H&R coilovers have been sat around waiting to go on for over 2 years! Now though I fancy sorting it out. I know costs of interiors and what I think needs doing to the engine. But any ideas what costs I'd be looking at to get the body work sorted and a re-spray? BTW, the photo were taken after it had been "recovered".... I could take it to a body shop obviously for a quote but without an MOT or tax its another complication!

Hi-Pol Metal Finishers Unit 8 The Boatyard Industrial Estate Fareham Hampshire PO16 0TA Tel: 01329 289982 They are only a small local outfit but I'd suspect most similar places around the country will charge similar cash.

Me?!!! Suggest that!!!! Christ no! I have a reputation to maintain! No I was more thinking induction kits.

Yep and its cheap. Won't make much more than 2-3bhp but will make more noise. As others have said stick it on the rollers first and you might be suprised.

Afternoon! Yeah been a while eh?! Work has/had taken over. The days of posting constantly about the Corrado have long gone but hopefully I can pass on some pearls of wisdom having spent the national gdp of a small African nation on various mods to the VR6 over the years!

I'd save your money for something else then. Seriously if you just spend £200 you'll get bugger all for it and you'll feel like you've been mugged. A re-map might take it to 200bhp, depends what your car is currently running, but that is almost £400. Don't waste your money on a re-chip, make sure its a re-map, otherwise your replacing VW's "one size fits all ECU map" with another companies vision of "one size fits all". Its probably not what you want to hear but If you've £200 burning a hole spend it on engine mounts, as they are probably worn by now (http://www.turn2usa.com do some good ones and they ship very quickly to England), or decent tyres and forget about the 200bhp figure. Alternatively don't spend it and save up for decent suspension first.

A Shrick VGI/VW Motorsport VSR, plus 268 cam and a re-map will break 200bhp with ease. More like 225bhp+ but your wallet will feel it. Having had the VGI, VSR, Shrick 268 cams, re-map, Miltek sports cat and back box I can say this with a fair degree of confidence! :-P Why do you want 200bhp? Bragging rights? Its a serious question because the mods you list don't do a great deal to increase bhp but do increase throttle response and exhaust noise/sound. How much do you have to spend too? Cheers Kieron 96 VR6 (VWM VSR, ex-268s, AmD re-map etc, etc, etc. ) 91 G60
