what kind of price should i be paying to both have front wheel bearings replacd on my C. i have been getting quotes £120+ so far

my C has got manual winders, i was considering changing these to electrics but am not too clued up with the electronics side to it- connecting to fuse box etc... has anyone done this before? or should i leave them manual - i havent come across many with manual winders!

am i correct in assuming DOT3 fluid is ok to use for 89 corrado 16v?

there is alot of forward/backward freeplay in the gearstick of my 89 1.8 16v. ive noticed the small circlip is also missing which stops freeplay-left to right- where can i get the circlip from?? also regarding the forward backward freeplay, can i do anythign about that- ive taken off the gaitor etc and had alook and it seem the whole gearstick and cable moves a hell of a lot before it even engaes into gear

yes the fluid level was fine- how can i check id the slave has had it?and im assumming i need to fill up with dot3 fluid wen getting the system bleed? ill have a look at the gearstick tommorow. is the circlip something i can get from gsf or ecp>? many thanks for the reply ben!

its an 89 1.8 16v and is green- but what one i dont know!!

ive picked up an 89 1.8 16v which has very baddddd brakes- the pedal goes nearly all the way down before the brakes work.. would this be just because it needs bleeding or could it be a master cylinder problem? also the clutch pedal sometimes gets stuck to the floor, which i thought was a cable but i cant seem to find any cable linked to the gearbox- is it a slave setup on these cars>?? and is there anyway of fixing very bad free-play in the gear stick- as its a cable change setup.. any help would be appreciated!!

doh!!! i was hoping this wasnt the case.... can it just leak even if the engine is switched off?

i havent driven the c for over a week, opened the door today to find a puddle in the passeger footwell..and the water sensor was showing low level.... does this mean what i think it means.... heater matrix??

CHEESY was the seller, bought a pair of corrado headlights. sent the cheque, i was pm'd when it was received, when it cleared and when the goods were sent. received the goods as promised, registered delivery, and the lights were packed extremely well-no chance of then gettin damaged while being delivered!! excellent and tidy service, and would definately recommend purchasing from him!! cheers cheesy!

yeh thats what happened in mine! replaced the water pump 2months ago... 2weeks later blew u hose..replaced that, later blew another hose.. replaced that...blew the radiator...now replaced that aswell!!

mk2 scirocco ones should be the same- same height etc.... but not colour..

its a silly question but im new to all of this stuff.. if a seller has something for auction and the bidder hasnt met his reserve price, does the seller still have to sell at the end of the auction? or due to the fact he hasnt got his reserved price, he doesnt have to sell it?

thats what im sort of starting to do now... knowing the cars already a classic, parts are gonna be a mofo in a few yrs so im stacking up with bits and bobs i get cheap now... headlights, trim, switches etc... its worth it!!

tan leather looks the dogs! i regret selling my mk2.... i shouldve atleast kept the interior...
