  1. Ok guys got it sorted out, it was the Idle Control valve screwing with me. As promised here are some pics.
  2. you dont need any resistors... the value on the package is the resistance of the LED at certain voltages. What you did wrong was wire them backwards... Its an LED (Light Emmiting Diode) Diodes only pass current one direction, if you have it backwards it will not light up. simply open up the ones not lighting up and switch the wires around and they will work. Long leg is always the positive wire, but dont worry about that now you already got it backwards so just flip them all around and they will work.
  3. Should be min 2 bar on idle.... Mine just stared doing the exact same thing, actually below 1 bar at idle and at startup its way up at 5 bars.
  4. Looks like he stuffed a vacuum cleaner in there.

Having the exact same problem but mine occurs only on hot days, rainy days it doesnt happen at all.... Bogs down over 2K rpm, actually have to pull off the road, play with the throttle for a while then it catches itself again and runs fine. I too have changed plugs, wires. dont believe it has to do with any of those because the car runs perfect on cool / rainy days. Runs like crap on hot days and engine temps are well within the norms.
  6. Here is mine, sort of a shitty picture, but will upload more later, waiting on my body kit and lowering springs and rims. These are the rims i got 17"
  7. Brand new plugs and wires, if it was coil pack or distrubutor it would happen constantly... I have noticed the past 2 days has been very rainy and cloudy, pretty cool weather, and it has not done it at all..
  8. Yes buddy with a Golf IV GTI VR6 has it, but OBD2, need to get software for OBD1 i suppose for my car. Yes i have pics on golf course close to the beach, I will most definately upload them later on today when i get home. This is just bugging me right now, and want to get it fixed pronto... was thinking fuel regulator screwing up? Guess VAG-COM should tell all..

  10. Hi guys, new here andhaving some problems. 1993 Corrado SLC VR6 2.8L. Certain days, i am driving, if i gun it (well not even having to gun it) as it goes over 2500 rpm the engine will just drop off (BOG) completely, most of the time it will just hesitate one big time and then continue to raise in rpm. but these days when it does it, if i continue on the gas it will just bog out completely, if i let go the throttle complete it will just stall out... if i keep the throttle depressed just a bit to stay under 2000 rpm it will stay running, i play with it between 1000-2000 rpm for a bit then it catches itself again and runs fine again. Any idea what this could be???? its happening more and more often these days. Like every day, or couple times per day. Help would greatly be appreciated.
