Hi everyone, thought id start the day with a look round the forum as i need to get on here more often really, especially as i brought a red g60 in jan last year on impulse and i have spent all my spare time and money on it since then. Also i have noticed that everyone on here knows someone else on here, and i dont, anyone in Nottingham / Mansfield area, send me a pm as i know no one with a corrado in my area (appart from my dad who brought a valver 2 months ago)! Well anyway heres what iv done with the car since i brought it this time last year (when i brought the car i had only been driving a year and the insurance was eye watering, but i diddnt care because i loved the corrado- i diddnt even know a g60 existed untill my mate mentionned them a week before i found it and had no clue as to how it worked but liked it as soon as i saw it looking a little sorry for its self in the corner of a forecourt. Being bullied and surrounded by new big bmws and mercs, (the owner (a total tw@t) had it come in in part exchange) so here it is as it stands now and what iv done to it- 89k, tornado red g60, jabba stage 4, 68mm, in-pros up front, race clutch, all performance belts, hoses, leads and gaskets, new intercooler, k+n, powerflex and a cobra 4"bore to a flat oval dtm - cat in the bin, boost and volt up the a pillar, late style bumper with new indicators and fogs, de-badged grille, cristal side repeaters, eyebrow spoiler, 17" bsm katanas, lowerd on g-max 35mm, new alternator, coil and starter motor, uprated headlight loom, rsr outlet - had it for a year and spent more time working on it / spending money on it than i have driving it but i know it will be worth it, nearly finished now and ready to be unleashed! Its had full interior swap to a newer one (black cloth with the dark green - flawless) black interior plastics, full engine swap to a less milage one (sheered woodruff key (key way) on the old engine (112K and had the oppertunity to have this one so i went for it) kept the newer box, pulled the old one out (dropped cross member on my toes which broke two of them while taking engine out, used a few bad words but wasnt down for long) sent new charger to jabba for what ever they do to it to call it stage 4, replaced all gaskets, belts, hoses and leads and threw in a race clutch while i was there. Sent it to d+s bodyworks with a new wing in the boot (bottom corner to badly corroded to repair) for a bodywork tidy up, rubber bump trim removed, and a full hit in the original tornado red, just a few more small bits to do and shes ready to come out to play, look out for me! i need to come on here more often! ANYONE IN NOTTS / MANSFIELD AREA?????

Hi mate, same thing happened to me in my g40, this is a sore point for me and this could be a bit long but if you have time please read. I was driving down a country lane over a t junction, the pot hole was where you would come out of the other part of the t junction and put the power down and a brakeing point for the slight bend on the long straight bit of the junction. Also there are small industrial units and farms allong this road so the hole would have been created by tractors / lorry, ect. I was going quite slow abt 30 mph (60 limit) which was worse because my wheel kind of fell in the hole that was about as round as a mouse matt and 2" deep, rather than sort of going over the top of it as i would have done if i was going faster. It had ripped the tyre half off the wheel by the time i stopped the car safely (front left tyre) written off the wheel and bent a wish bone. I called my mate to bring his camera and photographed the junction, the hole, the corner of the car with the damage and the white groove in the tarmac between the hole and my car (caused by my rim) (lots of ammunition to hammer the councill with) I put the aa report with the photos (made sure the aa bloke had put caused by pot hole in the road, or words to that effect) (more ammunition). Then i had the wishbone fixed and put my spare on the next day and called the councill. Spoke to the highest person in customer services i could, wrote her name down. Told her everything, she said someone would call me back and no one ever did. The next day i rang again, she wasnt at work so i spoke to a bloke who was a total idiot and diddnt know what he was talking about. He said he would send me some forms out and put the phone down on me. I called back and demanded to speak to the manager, then when she came on the phone i demanded to speak to her manager, i spoke to her, told her the whole thing, she told me to send her the evidence. I photocopyed all the pics, the aa report, the bill for the wish bone from my local garage, and a covering letter expressing my dissapointment with my local councill in how they have dealt with this matter and that i feel i have been let down, ect ect and if i wasnt re-embursed with the money for the wheels, the tire, and the wish bone,(cant remember the total that came to now) within 14 days i would take legal action and inform the press. I sent that lot to the two idiots i spoke to first that tried to fob me off, the manager who asked for them, and i went on the net, found out the managing directors name and posted one to him two. (they now knew i had all the evidence i needed and was serious about my threats of legal action, ect) they simply cant afford to have bad press from a member of the public like this in the papers as this can go to affecting the budget that they recieve for the next finantial year. Within 1 week of posting i recieved a check for a new set of wheels, the wishbone work and plus £100 for my hastle, and a letter from the manager saying sorry bla bla bla. If you have been a victim of damage due to poor roads, get as much evidence as you can (good photos or written reports from other people about the damage, eg aa bloke and garage who fixed it is best) take the time to photocoppy everything and get it sent off to them and keep at them, follow it up. You will be paid back for it. If anyone is having problems with getting them to pay up or wants some advice that you think i could give about this issue then pm me, if i can help someone out i really dont mind, regards, Andrew

g60greeny, Hi g60greeny, sorry for the late reply, yes i think i am the andy from notts who sold you your bumper and yes it is about time i joined! Few recent addidions to the car include new full stainless to dtm flat oval exit exhaust, boost, vacume and volt gauges up the a pillar, and its currently having a full re-spray! staying with tornado red the original colour. Been keeping my eye out for the right people to do it and heard from a friend that a close mate of his is setting up on his own with his mate. went down to see them and was very impressed, so its being prepped as we speak. Thanks for all the welcomes everyone! Still got loads of parts so if you need anything give me a shout!

Hi Everyone! My names Andrew Brown, I have just signed up to the forum and thought id say hi. My hobby has been performance vw's since I passed my test, and since then I have brought, done up / modified a polo, a polo gt, a polo g40 and my current project is my corrado g60, so I thought it was about time to sign up to a forum as iv been meaning to do it for to long, and with people I see out and about talking about "the forums" I was starting to feel like there was something missing from my hobby, so here I am! Also with both my self and my dad being corrado owners / modifiers / restorers, we have accumulated quite a lot of parts, so if there is any one out there who need any thing give me a shout, (you have probably seen some parts that I have sold on eBay when I have had the time to list them). I have never used a forum before so don’t laugh too loudly if I do something wrong or ask a daft question. Pleasure to be a member, Andy
