  1. Hi . I need one of the above for my 95 Corrado. Preferably new if anyone has one spare. Part Number 535941531f. Thanks
  2. I need a rear axle brake pressure regulator to fit to my 95 VR6,anyone out there got a second hand one to sell me before I go and buy a new one ? Cheers
  3. My rear load sensor valve on the rear axle has started to leak from the side. I have to replace it but does anyone have a second hand one for sale. A new one is a bit pricey. Also what are the diameter sizes of the steel brake pipes going to it.?? Cheers
  4. Ok everyone, broadband now back on so I am able to give you the good news. I thought it would be wise to check the fuses as a basic non expensive remedy and yes it was fuse No. 16 (15A) which is the fuel pump (HP). Looking at the fuse map on the tray you pull out, the fuse for the fuel pump is No.18 and No.16 is for warning lights. Can't understand why this is but the car is now running fine. Thanks for the help. Happy Corradoing :-)
  5. I have had reader coil problems in the past which I fixed using the WD method and the symptoms were similar, but this time the engine is running for a slightly longer time ( 1 sec), its not an immediate shut down. It seems that this is an air or fuel problem to me but who knows at this stage. Kerrly mentioned the override option,... I tried this last year and the code thats written on the Clifford handbook does not seem to work. Will have another look at the reader coil tomorrow and keep you all updated. Thanks all for the help, much appreciated :0)
  6. All of a sudden it wont start. It turns over and fires up for a few seconds and just dies, I have noticed a squealing/whistling noise as I turn the key, I think this has some relevance to the problem. Sucking air perhaps? Have looked for the obvious things like holes in pipes and have cleaned the AFM with carb cleaner..Any ideas anyone ???? :-(
  7. Sorry forgot to say.. Its a 95 VR6 !

  9. Nice one Stone.. as you said the screw is best left a little slack... I am thinking about slightly modding a Mk2 lock to fit the Corrado I think the only difference is the shape of the 2 levers that are operated by the key-lock and the door handle...will keep you updated. As you mentioned the washer Supercharged ! If you mean the one tha'ts on the small LH screw.. yes it is on, so thanks for the heads up on that !!! ---------- Post added at 10:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:03 PM ---------- Nice one Stone.. as you said the screw is best left a little slack... Once again thanks to all for the help!! :-)
  10. Finally got it to shut before the rain started....You're right Stone they are picky !! The small LH screw is done up but not to its full tightness. If I tightened it up all the way the symptoms persist, I slackened it off about three turns and the door locked, so I loctited the screw in that position. It seems perhaps that the white nylon plunger that's connected to the door handle is possibly touching the lever on the lock before you actually pull the handle which is stopping the locking function of the lock. Perhaps this lever needs bending down at a later date. I am happy now that I can actually use the car but will have to fine tune the mechanism at some time in the future Many thanks for the very helpful info to you both Live long and prosper Lang Lebe Der Corrado!
  11. As mentioned on the title, I took the driver door lock and handle off yesterday as it was a bit sticky and needed some lubing up. When I put everything back in place the door lock mechanism would not lock around the strike pin and the door bounces back open. I tried for 4 hrs to get the thing to work but it won't lock in to position, I have checked the mechanism is working by pushing a screwdriver sideways in to it and it latches around no problem, I also tried a spare mk2 golf lock onto the pin and the lock latches around. Its as if the pin is too far in and is not quite making its position to totally lock . .totally baffled as this is not brain surgery any suggestions would a great help ps I have moved the strike pin in all positions to get it to work
  12. Thanks for that. I took the duff one back to gsf and had a refund. Went to the stealership and got the correct one for £68.99 with the old one as a swap and yes its brand new :-)
  13. The old one is has now gone to GSF as a service exchange. Will have to get another thats the same as the offside, cant understand though why there is a 7mm difference in the recon one that I have
  14. Bought a reconditioned caliper off GSF and the gap between the piston face and the opposite face which pushes on to the outer pad is 7mm too narrow which means I cant fit the caliper. The piston is fully pushed back. I gave the reg number of the car to them when I bought it. Are there different calipers fitted to some VR's of this age ? Will be phoning them tomorrow to get it sorted
