  1. The reason. Why I asked, is that on my buddy's e30, we just unmounted the top of the strut, slid the spring off, slid the new spring on and just remounted it. Was hoping to acheive the same with the rado.
  2. Is there enough room to replace the springs without removing the whole strut?
  3. Hmmm I like both the stock look where the tire sits flush with the wheel and the slight stretch look. Just my opinion that Euros don't look as good with a buldge. So flush or slight stretch is my choice. :thumbleft: That's some meaty looking tread you have there too, winter tires?
  4. Lol, heya joey! Has it warmed up over there yet? I can't wait to see pics of the new Rado. On-topic: Yeah, when I contacted Lurkz, he told me different tires stretch differently. He had PZero Neros which seem to be pretty dang good, not as good as the Michelins that you put on, but pretty close. Sounds like my typical paranoia, but I wonder if all PZero Neros will stretch the same.
  5. EDIT: Nevermind, someone told me on Vortex he goes by Furkz on here. I want to ask him a question.
  6. Hey guys, I saw you guys are just bombarded with wheel questions. I'm sorry, but going through search led me no where. I want to run stock arches, no rolling or pulling. I was originally going to run 16x7.5" et20 Kerscher Carmonas with 195/40s than I found out there's a person actually running that setup: It's nice and all, but it's really not me. I want slightly less stretch but more than the OEM appearance of 205/50-15 on 15x6.5" (my stock Speedlines) I was told that these BBS RSs were 16x7.5" w/ 195/40s however... The above pic is confirmed and straight from the owner's mouth, these were not confirmed by the owner: Those would be perfect! Another confusing thing is here are Keskin KT4s in 16x7.5" et20 w/ 205/40s they look really good, it's just I want some stretch in there, but more like the pic above, he also is running stock fenders:

  8. Yeah, i'm not sure... a lot of places I read you gotta run another wire or something. But you're saying your C came 100% wired and everything? All you had to do was install the euro switch and done?
  9. Thanks. I'd like pics as we were wondering what they look like. We have a few tutorials layinf around but not enough people have sparked interest in doing the modification. Also, we do not have a switch for the rear fogs, however our Corrados came pre-wired for them.
  10. Hey guys, Over on VWVortex we were wondering about your rear fog lights as they are not wired up on US spec and Canadian spec Corrados. Would any of you please take pictures of these blinding lights at night?
  11. FINALLY!! PICS OF THIS MAN! I needed a pic of this dude so I can add him to my list of heroes and accompany a pic w/ him! Also... pop-up headlights probably would've been hideous... Swiveling headlights could've been a 50/50 iffy deal in the sense that they would pertain the aero-dynamics of the said vehicle, however on a Corrado, it just looks.. way too different, not really vulgar, just.. different. Plus, it'd be one mroe things that would probably jump up with the spoiler and the sunroof on the break list and form the 3 most prone to break parts on a Corrado. I have that magazine too 8) Yeah, scat, not as in poop, but as in Scat Pack, a term used by the 68-71 Dodge muscle cars. Also, those headlights swivel, not pop-up :)
  12. Gotta be careful with it haha. With that many miles, who knows what'll happen to the g-lader. You might have to get that G60 rebuilt. Also, seeing as you live in FL where Emissions aren't too strict, I would throw out the G60 if it needs to be re-built and stick a Lysholm in it. Far more reliable S/C and a lot more power. Also, check a few other things such as sunroof and spoiler. Ask around on VWVortex too.
  13. Hmmm thanks. I might try your LED thing first, and if that fails, meh. I was kinda wondering if I had to solder too... I'm not bad w/ soldering when it comes to something small, but when it comes to doing something that is worth something, I mess it up, so I might not do it now lol. :?
  14. So yeah, they did come with every Rado. Here in the states they are very rare, not sure how they get lost, but the keys that comes with most Rados out here are the regular black key. I got lucky and got all three keys, Lighted, unlighted, and valet. I'm just looking to put some very bright LED or something in there that you could spot a mile into a forest. And yeah, your local VW dealer should have it, probably like 3GBP.
  15. I'm not sure if they gave the Corrados in Europe and other countires the "Main car key" that came with a light that is activated when pushing the VW sign on the keys. They are pretty rare, but anywho, I looked around VWVortex, there's a few mentions of putting in a stronger LED, however, nothing specific. I just want a brighter light just because I find myself trying to light things up with the key out of boredom... Not mention, it could save money by preventing you from keying your own car. I just need to know if I could use a stronger battery and LED combo, or go fully custom with just a strong battery + LED and jerry-rig a "tappet" plate on the inside of the button to make the connection between said battery and LED. Thanks guys.
  16. Thanks for the nice comments guys :) Yeah, I have two actually, a used one, and a brand new one, I thought these came on all Euro VRs? I live in Riverside county, far from most of the other Rados which are in San Diego county.
  17. Yeah... I been a bit busy with it. Also, I do notice a lot of you guys are in Europe and stuff, however, I just like to check in here every once in a while since you guys are pretty down the earth and cool. Anywho, It's a 1993 SLC 2.8l VR6 in LC3U Dark Burgundy Pearl Effect and... It's a low mileage car with umm roughly 61,550km (38,000 miles) exactly. Here's Its two websites, both list it's mods and stuff, which are mostly OEM. Moreover, tons more pics:
  18. Actually.. all the money isn't going to the gov't that we pay for gas here... If we looked at our gas sellers, their revenue is higher than EVER before, I think in 2005, they made the most money they've ever made. But yeah, highest octane they sell to US Customers is 91 than I forgot the middle...and than 85 is the lowest. What do most people buy? 85 lol. I've seen people with AMG Benz's pouring that 85 crap into their cars. There's other ways to get higher octane here, they sell 110 race fuel in certain areas for off-road use but they don't monitor it, it costs about $10 USD a gallon though. So it'd cost roughly 100 GBP to fill your car up with it. Than we have Methanol injectors which make your car run cooler, more reliable, and everything positive you could think of. It even bumps your 91 octane up to 115 octane. The negativity is that it's illegal is more than half the states, one of them being mine. So.. that's a downer, especially since it only costs a mere $400 or 200GBP.
  19. This is what I translated a bit. » US Spec Corrado Tank: ~18 gallons = ~68 liters » US Spec VR6 Miles per Gallon(MPG): ~25MPG = ~28.3 Euro VR6 91 Unleaded (Highest Octane) = ~$4 USD a gallon = 195 pence or ~£2 a gallon So uhh.. We pay about $60 for a full tank so about 2929 pence or £30 Lasts about 300-400 Miles which is 483km-644km... So, about 2,929pence(p?) or £30 to go ~563km
  20. Hey guys, I'm not sure how you guys would take this and stuff, but just wanted to say that this place is pretty cool. It's sorta like myspace except it's based around your VW. It's very new, being released this week, it doesn't have many people. Moreover, it's easier and much faster to setup than a lame myspace. It has cool features like the garage, click on mine if you check it out. Here's mine, based off the Corrado i'm picking up in two weeks: http://www.itsmyvw.com/DBPE_SLC_Corrado The Corrado is in the top 3 with 2 accounts for Corrados, bring us to first guys!!!
  21. I found it. Actually, i'm just copying it over from VWVortex. :( EDITL I didn't go through the thread lol, looks like it has been posted. :? http://www.iyimi.net/vw-corrado-cok-ren ... 42020.html
