ABF --> Corrado G60 -main harness / wiring help....
G60-NeedMoorePoower posted a topic in Engine Bay
Hi Has anyone wiring diagrams for G60 & ABF wiring harness' ...? 1. Does the ABF's harness need to be modified to connect up with G60's fuse box etc ..?, OR 2. are the connectors the same, and the ABF's just plugs in where the existing is...? 3. whats the bare minimum to get the Corrado to start ? ...if ecu requires speedo, rev reading etc then if the connectors are different thats going to be a bigger job.... It seems there are going to be connectors left over as the no of conn between the 2 differ.... Thanks -
twin turbo is not a preferred setup, spool over from small to large turbo is a common problem.. ecu / boost controlling 2 turbos is tricky.. supra and rx-7 are an example of twin turbos as std, supra or skyline where its a 6 cylinder 1x turbo can service each "bank" of cylinders....etc ...esp where there are space constraints.. big power always requires big single turbo

Do I need this strengthener ...so that it doesn't go in the near future...?
-
this has been my first VW ...I have other turbo cars... with 280k on the clock, it uses oil....and chargers need rebuilding often -from what I hear every 40k.; rebuild costs around the £500 mark. I must admit I was impressed with the power the charger provided. If you are wanting something different (which I have been) get a G60.

Where is the ABF's MAF sensor ?
G60-NeedMoorePoower replied to G60-NeedMoorePoower's topic in Engine Bay
ok, so I am just missing the air box bit, so I should be able to stick a cone filter and be done with it... Thanks -
Hi ...from what little ABF pics i have found I don't see where the MAF sensor is ? Even a Seat... The square air filter box to a length of pipe work straight to the TB...! I have this ABF motor w/o the filter box....and I would have expected the MAF to be betwen the "filter" and the TB...!? Thanks

I've had this -temp light seems to come on long after it was started, but actual temp readout on gauge was ok.... there's no pattern of when it occurs, I have yet to resolve it...
