  1. Past Parts will do them, I called them a year or so ago when I had the same problem. I ended up sending my original one which had packed in to J & L Spares who did it for about £150. Having spoken to them I think initially past parts thought I had a master cylinder & abs pump all in one job which they won't do. If you call again and explain it's a stand alone part but the car has abs I think you'll find they will take it. There's a few threads about it on here, I think they've done a lot for people on this forum. J&L took ages to do mine so I wouldn't recommend them, past parts sound a lot better. Chris sorted me out with a spare in my hour of need too, still on my car & going strong.

    Ouch

Yikes. Will have to start driving into spaces up against walls when I go out
  3. Thanks, I found some similar to that on eBay but the piece with the connector blank doesn't come with it so I'm guessing that piece on its own is too short and won't connect to the air intake elbow properly - my connector piece is missing as well. I've found a used one on eBay now which includes both pieces, so I bought that
  4. Argh, no worries thanks for looking. Think I'm beginning to understand why it was bodged back together!
  5. Thanks mate, correction on the part no. It is 021 103 493 a. Cheers
  6. Hi all As per title I'm looking for the pipe with the connector blank on it that runs from the air intake elbow to the pcv. I can't see the part no. While it's on the car but I believe it's 028 103 493 with a letter on the end. It's actually to replace the one that's been broken & bodged back together at some point in the past on my Golf VR6 but having compared with my Corrado they look the same. Cheers Rich
  7. Thanks for the reply. I was just struggling to find one in stock on Sat as I was keen to get it all back together. Sorted now. Cheers
  8. Anyone local to Coventry happen to have a new spare one lying around that I could pick up tomorrow? Got a bit carried away today working on mine and it's the only part I hadn't bought in advance. Nowhere had one in stock unsurprisingly. If not I'll just wait til I can get one posted to put it all back together. Cheers Rich
  9. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Air-flow-meter-Mass-air-flow-meter-VW-Corrado-Golf-3-Passat-Vento-2-9-VR6-/321686214082?nav=SEARCH I've got this on permanent watch just in case. No idea whether it's any good or whether it really will fit a Corrado as well as Golf VR6. I didn't think they were both the same. Much cheaper than £232 though, but is it suspiciously cheap?
  10. This popped up while I was searching to check the relay no. as don't fancy going outside to have a look. My Corrado has had these kind of symptoms so I'm going to try the relay as I have a spare lying around. I had a similar issue on a mk3 golf 16v I had which the guys at Stealth expertly diagnosed for me. The problem with that one was there was a hairline fracture in the connection so the problem was intermittent at random but mainly misfiring between 3-4k revs. They soldered it & it went back in and worked another 5 years before I got rid.
  11. Got mine fitted today, very pleased to have got that job ticked off my list. I agree, if it was someone from this group buy who sold the kit on for a quick profit - well it doesn't take a genius to work out what most of us think of them. I only hope such a small profit was worth costing everyone else extra
  12. Hi mate just read up on these, had no idea they had a reputation for failing. Mine's fine but it seems like another good thing to add to my collection of 'just in case' parts. You still selling them for £24 posted? Rich
  13. Job done. Got it Weds, fitted today & the world is a better place. Thanks for your help mate.
  14. If you can have it delivered to your place of work Hermes will do that. Just a thought if your employer is ok with it.
  15. Yea sounds perfectly fair to me. Let me know what postage costs & how you want paying and I'll sort it. Cheers pal.
  16. Sounds like a plan. Well from an aesthetic point of view I'd take the least rusty one, which looks like no.2 or 3? I'll prob wire brush & Hammerite it first. If you could get it to me asap that'd be great I don't mind paying extra for quick postage. I'll try to get it fitted in the week if poss. What price you thinking? I haven't seen a second hand one for sale before.
  17. Yea I reckon it was around the 3 hour mark to strip it all off. I took the opportunity to give everything a clean while I had the stuff out so spent a bit longer.
  18. Do you know that they work properly & what price are you asking?
  19. Touchy!! I've searched the forum and this one didn't come up, I just read the others where there was no solution so tried to come up with my own. So sorry sir.
  20. This is the one 23.8mm bore. There is no VW part no on it that I can find. Rich
  21. Yep I called them in the first place & they said no. Since found out they do them, think they were put off by the word ABS. Seems people assume they're the cylinder & pump in one deal. How much did past parts charge & how long did it take? Tempted to send the eBay one off to them now
  22. I'm looking for one of these please in good working order. Mine failed in Dec last year, bought a "reconditioned" one off eBay for an eye watering price which also failed shortly after having been driven. Then sent my original one off for reconditioning to J&L in Rochdale mid Jan. They told me 2 weeks...I'm still waiting. Several phone calls later & I've lost my patience. If anyone else is reading this don't send it to them they're complete time wasters I urge you to try someone else, it's gone past the point of me being able to forgive them. Rant over, anyone got a working spare for a decent price? I'm £350 in on 2 master cylinders so far & the car is still off the road. I'm fed up. I'd need it before summer ideally as that's when I anticipate this lot will finally get round to sending mine back! Seriously, next week would be amazing though. Rich
  23. It did cross my mind! OEM all the way for me though. Or as close as. I recommend using some disposable gloves. The adhesive still does it's job very well even when it's scraped off & definitely cover the engine bay first or you'll have a nightmare.
  24. Went out to do a bit to the Corrado & got carried away...it's ready!
