  1. Hi all, has anybody ever had to have a new screen fitted and after it has been fitted suffered with wind noise. I had one fitted last week by a national company and since it has been fitted the wind noise at around 60mph is awfull, they have had it back and attempted to reseal it but it is no better, any ideas? as it driving me nuts with the 30mile commute to work everyday.
  2. Hi all, has anybody got an idea where you can buy the half smoked and red tailights that have got a black casing, I have seen the FK ones but I am not keen on the blingly crome casing, I have enquired to ARZ but they are out of stock at the mo and TBH I am a bit hesitant to order from abroad, but it looks like I dont have much choice at the mo.
  3. Its called Autoglym extra gloss, you normally only find it in Halfords and it has got a gold label on it, give it a try and see what you think, I swear by it and on a dark finish the results will be even better.
  4. I gave my flash pink a coat of Autoglym paint renovator, super resin, then a coat of ultra deep shine and low and behold it became flash red :) I then left it for a week and gave it a coat of high gloss which goes on like water and drys after about 30mins but for best results leave for 60mins plus and when you buff it off it will shine like a new pin and it will be as smooth as a babys bottom.
  5. Hi all, thought I would post a few more pics up, only problem is I have had a stone hit the windscreen today leaving a nice chunk out of the screen, it needed a new screen anyway so not that fussed Have also transferred my number on to it, painted the brakes and I have decided to keep the original speedlines now and just have them refurbed with a new set of tyres, just got to get it in for paint soon
  6. Yeah it would only cost approx an extra £400-£500 to have the pillars and roof painted, but I cant see the point in having them done as the paintwork in these areas is fine, but I will make the final decision closer to the time, I have to be carefull what I spend as my better half seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to my cars and money :)
  7. I have just been quoted £800 for a bottom half repaint from the guy who normally does all of my paintwork, which I thought was quite good considering the amount of work involved :)
  8. Thanks for all of the ideas, Just need to decide which one to buy now, either the Momo Millenium or the Race.
  9. Hi all, I need to replace the worn steering wheel in mine and I was thinking of a Momo Millenium 350mm, what have you guys fitted and what do they look like, I dont want fit anything to in ur face as I want keep the interior looking stock, suggestions welcome :?:
  10. The interior has come up really well now I have spent a few hours on it and there is no rips or major signs of wear on the seats, the only thing I have had to get is a new set of floor mats for it which I got from VW and they still came with the Corrado writing on them and only cost £40 All inside the boot is like new with no scratches on the paint or plastic trim :)
  11. Its a VR6, cloth trim with the optional air-con which I belive was dealer fitted when it was new. The car has got so much history, it took me ages to go through it all. I am really not sure which way to go with it to be honest, I would like to mod it but something tells me just to restore it to its former glory. I have also got a Golf mk11 16V which I have just finished a three year rebuild back to oe spec and I am planning on showing that at a few shows this year. Here are a couple of pics of that one
  12. Yeah thats the one, got it for a fair price in the finish, funny you mention you are there on Saturday as thats where I am going so they can plug the VAGCOM into it it and see what the starting problem is, I think its just a cold start relay or valve but they just want to confirm it.
  13. Hi all, new to the forum and new to Corrado ownership although I have run VW's for the last ten years, I have just found out what I have been missing, although within three weeks of owning the car I have had to rebuild front and rear brakes, fit new track rod ends, new anti-roll bar links, drive belt and fuel filter. There is still the famous abs problem to sort out as well as dodgy starting in the mornings, but so far the cars worth it, well thats what I keep on telling the wife anyway. But here it is with only one prev owner,FVWSH and only 60k on the clock, it does need to have bodywork done and a new sets of rims fitted, I was thinking of BBS RX single piece but I am yet to see a corrado with them on so not sure what they would look like Hope you like and will post more pics as the work continues
