Cheers chaps, really I am just looking for a place that comes recommended by someone in the Manchester area and maybe could have a look at my alarm that has stopped working.
-
I couldn't care less about the stereo as it was a cheap kenwood one I managed to pick up on ebay for pennies. The problem is now where abouts in Manchester area can I go for door and locks work done on a 'rado? Cheers

Cheers Gents. It seems rather obvious that I will be needing an after market system rather than going standard. Anyone got any suggestions as to what they would get?

My 1.8 valver's exhaust is dead. The whole thing cannot be welded and it making a noise like god gargling which is very nice but it is time for a new one to be fitted. I wanted a quick job so I just took it round to my local garage and asked them to price up a new exhaust system. The cheeky monkey tells me that he needs 4 separate parts to make up my exhaust and quotes me £717. I was incensed. Is this bloke pulling my plums or am I seriously looking at over the £200 I have budgeted?

Help / advice please, my car has been damaged by someone

If they decree it an act of god then sue the Catholic Church. They claim to be gods representatives on earth so it's about time they took some responsibility along with all that collection money. -
Cheers for the input fellas, a bit confused as to what I am going to do so I figure the best idea would be to have a root under my bonnet and see what the best plan of action is. I can't see myself doing the swiss cheese mod as I simply don't trust myself with a drill and engine bits.

I found the site confusing but if the 33-2032 is for Corrados All then that's what I shall go for. Cheers.

I knew I was never going to be able to afford a VR6 or G60 the moment I wrote off my old car and being a reasonably new driver forgot to take the names of any witnesses. My insurance premium is through the roof on my 1990 1.8 valver. So I have decided to try and get a bit more power out of the old girl so it's K&N filter time, the problem is that nobody seems to agree as to what filter to put in. There seem to be two filters which the sellers of fleabay say will work the 33-2032 and the 33-2029. Now I am about as adept at mechanics as Tony Blair is an sincerity so I thought I would consult the official website to see which will actually fit to be told both of them will do! Good I thought, I'll buy the cheaper. Problem is the specs are all different Has anyone got the faintest idea how I decide which is right?

Absolute genius, that will be my first attempt when I get home. Has yours always been like this cos last week mine popped up with all of the zeal of an inquisitive mere cat where as last night it just didn't.

After buying a lovely shiney new badge for my front grill from _leon_ on here (cheers mate!) I decided to fit it last night. I pulled my bonnet release lever and well nothing happened. On closer inspection it seems that the bonnet released on my drivers side but not on my passenger side, has anyone ever ad this happen to them before? I doubt it will be too expensive to fix but I would rather I could do it myself rather than let the cannibals at my local garage unleash their crowbars on to it.

8 days and I'm loving it.

Great aren't they, I'm going to be separated from my this weekend I am almost distraught about it. Another photo of showing my fly skills of MS paint

Picture plagiarised from the bloke who sold it to me and then cunningly disguised with MS paint. http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p93/ ... ent=Corrad Wont post as in image for some reason EDIT: Second try

Hello and thanks I'll have to get some T cut and Alloy cleaner before I take the pics but I'll look to do that soon. I was thinking my switch mught just have a loose connection so might be fixable but if you a reckon a new is what is needed then you are bound to know more than me. Don't think I'll get rid of the wiper as I am trying to keep the car as near to standard as I can (well other than the whacking great set of 5 spokes that the last bloke put on it).
