Hi guys :) It's been a long time but I'm after some confirmation! I used to have a satin silver valver but unfortunately I had to sell. 3 years have passed since then and hopefully I won't get my head bitten off but I now own a Clio 172 which I've spent a fair bit of money on with Jenvey ITBs etc To cut to the chase I've always liked the look of the pearl grey corrados and was wondering if people could post up their pictures as to what pearl grey looks like when well kept or freshly painted! Correct me if I'm mistaken, pearl grey is LA7U - which should be this.... download/file.php?id=79285&mode=view Cheers!

http://pistonheads.com/sales/409734.htm Anyone care to lend me say what 15 grand? Being only a youngen' I didn't realise how understated these were. 0-60 in 5 seconds and 200bhp per ton Anyone on here own one or driven one? Mike

Sorry but this is a really random car to put the Corrado up against. Mainly because of age, but, If you buy a raddo it's because you've always wanted one, or because you've never wanted anything else newer so far. It's a car with cult status and one you own because you want to. The Type R (the new ones especially) are cracking good cars. They stick to the road like glue and are quite pokey (unless you come in contact with a hill lol) I've driven one and loved it. They are however common as muck (as has been said). They're a car you buy because they're a good all rounder. It may not have 200bhp from the production line or awesome superchipped 8000rpmunbreakablepistonnoises, but the Corrado is a drivers car :D Plus I'd have the VR6 burble over the screaming whine of Vtec anyday lol. Infact I'd have anything over the screaming noise of V-tec  Mike

LMAO. No jap reliability here chum. Just solid German supercoupe fun. Nah it's not all that bad. Like with all cars of age, you get minters and you get splinters -

theres an age old saying (ok I just made it up but it sounds age old). A Corrado without breakdown cover is like a dog without a leash :D -
The valver engines are fine on fuel unless you give them a good thrashing and then it guzzles a fair amount. I get 35 out of mine when i'm driving normally. Thankfully I have the VVC metro to take some grunt out on :D No I haven't needed a gasket yet thanks for asking lol. Mike

To be honest if you really can't be arsed with the car that much then I wouldn't really get a VR6 till you've got a bit of money behind you, because although for 5k you could buy a cracker of a VR they have their own problems. I do like the ST170s, and if I had the money to afford that as a daily and to keep the raddo, I would. But to be perfectly honest I'd never love a 170 in the same way I do the Corrado lol. Not ever  -
ROFL. Theres not a lot you can say about that really

Possibly it was from the future and simply a miscalculated teleport

You lose confidence in a car when it lets you down on more than one occassion naturally, and I try not to do long trips in the C. As i'm scared of the exact same thing. Even though yeah ok things pop off and go wrong (older cars, it's natural :D) but the k-jet compared with a lot of engines in the same grade will generally go on forever and be a lot more reliable. It'll eat up M miles. (Aslong as theres nothing seriously wrong with it  ) -
lol 324. No comment on mine! it's in tripple figures at least Mike
