  1. The BMC CDA does seem the best bet for performance, but what is the sound like? The reason I ask is because a mate has a saxo vts with one on and it barely makes any difference in sound from the stock air intake. I would be disappointed paying out all that £ for no audible result!
  2. What do people reckon the best induction kit is for the VR6, taking account of the criteria of sound, quality, fit and power increase (though I'm assuming this will be negligible). I'm basically looking for something that would compliment a magnex cat-back system sound-wise. Something that lets people know you've arrived without being overly boomy and Nova-like
  3. What mechanism do VW use to stop the wheels turning too far on full-lock and scrubbing the inside of the arches on the 'Rado? Full lock when turning right is fine but full lock left is going too far, resulting in the inside of the wheel fouling the inside of the arch and the anti-roll bar on the nearside. What do I need to adjust to correct this?
  4. I got the ebc greenstuffs for the front and rear (standard size discs) for £80 inc. delivery off of eurocarparts then black diamond front discs at £114 and rears at £98 inc. delivery from rimstyle.com which I didn't think was too bad
  5. The wheels look stunning! What width are they and whats the drop on the suspension?
  6. Ah well ended up going the whole hog and buying Black Diamond grooved disks front and rear with EBC Greenstuff pads all round. About £300 all in but if I hadn't got them on the rears I knew I'd find myself wondering whether it made a difference the whole time. Will be expecting some pretty good stopping power now though!
  7. Yeah got to admit even their own description of them is a bit lacklustre, definitely Brembo's budget option. But then again I have seen them advertised elsewhere for £169.99 for a pair of front discs!
  8. Ah right, cheers for the info I didn't know that, thought only the leather ones were karmann. Suprised just how comfortable they are though, the old golf interiors (especially if they are lowered) make you feel like you've gone 5 rounds with Tyson after a spirited drive!
  9. Hmm yeah I was thinking about pagid pads, heard good things. Black Diamond discs likewise, though I'm tempted by Brembo Max discs purely because they're only grooved (rather than being drilled) and GSF are doing them at £90 pair inc delivery for a VR6 which doesn't seem bad at all. Anybody had any experience of them?
  10. Cheers for all the comments, as I said I've always been a VW man, MK2 golfs being my car of choice up till now but (and this might sound obvious) I can't believe how much of a step up the corrado is. On a totally different level! I've got a feeling the honeymoon 'period' is for keeps. As for the car, yep it's got the full karmann leather interior in black with the heated front seats. As for the jag next to it... sadly that's my old man's rather than mine - a 1999 daimler super v8... perhaps a future purchase though hey! :)
  11. Always been a VW nut but as of yesterday I am now the proud owner of this VR6, and my first Corrado at that. I can safely say it's one of the best handling cars I've ever driven, and that engine... oh my gosh! I don't think the honeymoon period is going to disappear for some time (at least until the first bill!)... but for now I just can't stop smiling! :D
  12. As the proud new owner of a VR6 (as of yesterday!) I now realise what all the hype's about! By far the best handling car I've ever driven. Only thing letting it down is the brake discs are knackered all round. I was wondering what people had found the best aftermarket discs to be, or whether I should just stick to VW's own?
