Did you get hold of any RH caps?
-
Where's the best place to get replacement glass for both the driver's side and passenger side wing mirrors?
-
Just topped it up with Castrol GTX 10w40. As for use, I last checked it about 3 weeks ago and it was above halfway on the dipstick 'correct level' indicator bit, checked it yesterday and it was below the bottom line of the dipstick indicator (though there was still some on the dipstick itself), so it had used quite a lot!

What would you recommend for a 1994 Vr6 with 140,000 miles on the clock, fast road use, but it has been using oil like a bastad recently :( Also, can you recommend a good gearbox oil, cheers
-
Yeah they are pretty much as new. Let me know when you get the RHs, cheers
-
Yeah I will do when I get the RH ones, or will be up for a p/x with someone who has RH caps if you've got some?
-
Can anyone tell me of anywhere in the UK that can supply new RH centre caps for RH ZW1s? (I've got Porsche ones on them atm but want to replace them with originals), cheers
-
Yeah just found them at: http://www.8380labs.com/ they've got some pretty nice stuff on their forum link...
-
Yeah I've got the white profile/outline on black t-shirt on ebay, though I've just seen one on there of the front of the car where you can get your own number plate put on which is quite cool...
-
Anyone got any links to any decent T-shirts featuring the Corrado or any other dubs for that matter? I know this should probably be in the suppliers forum but I'm not looking for anything specifically, though obviously I'm aware of the dub design tees and the I already have the one of the corrado tees that are sold on ebay of the side profile of the car. Just wondering if there were any other decent designs doing the rounds? (I do remember seeing some mk2 golf ones a while ago that said 'golf - the best way to ruin a good walk' or something along those lines if anyone has the link to those?)

thanks mate, yer i picked up the mag yesterday and was nice to see the car in there !! :D i think it looks soooo much better now tho with the union jack off the roof ! il get some pics up soon. Yeah I suppose it's just something different, that's why I liked it, kind of added to the racy/trackday look imo. I reckon after a few months you'll miss it and want it back on again! -

Saw a pic of the car at the trackday in the newest issue of PVW, looking good mate! I reckon the union jack looked really good on it! -
cheers for the pics, that's the route I'm gonna take I think. I know loads of people have taken the canister off altogether but I'm not sure I fancy the fuel tank breather pipe flapping around letting (albeit a small amount) of fuel vapour around the engine bay...
-
Cheers for the offer mate, but got the new one on there now! Ended up getting one from Eurocarparts as my mechanic ordered it in the end, seems all good though...
-
Has anyone got any pics of where they've run the ducting for their BMC (or similar)? Cause I'm having problems trying to find the best place to get a good cold air feed to the airbox whilst still being able to actually fit it in the engine bay without interferring with anything...
-
Mine's just decided to spring a leak so will be needing a new one asap. GSF and eurocarparts are about £140 with VAT, just wondered if there was anywhere cheaper that anbody knew of?

Is Black Wow by Chemicalguys aswell?
-
Had never heard of that website, looks pretty good cheers :salute: prepare to say bye to the cash in your wallet :D Chemical guys new look trim gel after a good scrub down with a cleaner fluid works well for me. Yeah I've already got the cost tallying up after looking at the recommendations on that site, I can see myself spending some serious cash over at polishedbliss.co.uk! Anyone used them before by the way?

Had never heard of that website, looks pretty good cheers :salute:

Yeah think I need to give this a go, all other Meguiar's stuff I've used has been very impressive Not Meguiars dude Mer, different company I think, but anyway: http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/de ... -gel/2558/ Cheers mate, my mistake, thought you'd just put Mer rather than Meg by mistake! Never heard of em, but I'll check it out

What does everyone use to restore/detail their plastics, particularly the window seals? I've had polish stains ingrained in the seals for ages and it's been doing my head in so finally got round to trying to clean them up today. Used Autoglym Fast Glass to get some of the polish stains out which worked fairly well but then I used Autoglym bumper care to try and blacken them back up and found that they weren't absorbing it equally, making the seals look very patchy. It seems to be good stuff for the roof rack rails and hard plastics like that (was great for the bumpers on my old golf) but not so good for the softer plastics such as the window seals. Anyone got any suggestions?

true dedication to the cause!

Really nice example of a VR6 mate, paint looks mint!

Just out of interest, is anyone aware of any companies that ball polish alloys to achieve a finish similar to that on a lot of BBS RCs?
