The heater matrix on my VR6 has sprung a leak, can anyone tell me the best or easiest way to take the centre console out in order to replace it? Thanks

Just suffered a massive oil leak which caused the oil warning light and buzzer to activate. As I look in the engine bay, the left hand side is completely coated with oil but can't find an obvious source of the problem. The engine had been running fine and got no indication that it was running low on oil. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It is a 1995 with an immobiliser which I don't believe was factory fitted.

Had a problem last year with my VR6 when trying to start it in sub zero temperatures the engine would start fine and run for a couple of seconds before deciding to cut out. As soon as the engine thawed out it would run as normal again. Never managed to find the source of the problem which wasn't a concern as it has worked perfectly during this winter....until this morning. Same problem has reoccurred and it is driving me insane (and making me late for work). Any suggstions would be appreciated.

How difficult is it to replace front and rear brake pads? I've managed it on previous cars but want to make sure I can finish the job once I've started it. Any special tools required? Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, have had 2 cats in the past 3 years now in order to get through the MOT.

Honestly it isn't but I'm surprised myself. Cost £90 for the repair then £50 to have it resprayed.

Been for a MOT but failed on the emissons test as my VR6 seems intent on destroying the catalytic convertor. Will be on my second CAT in the space of 3 years now. Anyone have any ideas what's causing this problem?

Got is sprayed at a place called C C Reiley in Nottingham just off Meadow Lane. Took them about 3 weeks to complete as they couldn't work on it full time, but they have done a good job and the finish looks superb.

The paint work had faded badly especially on the bonnet, the two wheel arches had large amounts of rust and the passenger door had a botched repair job done to it sometime ago and was also rusty in areas. Managed to get both front wings for £38 and a door for £50 whilst having everything apart from roof, tailgate and rear bumper resprayed cost a further £1200. Got the car back last Monday and I am extremely happy with the result. Shame I had a big impact with a kerb on Friday night damaging one wheel and no doubt more damge to the suspension so it is off the road again.

I think a damaged wheel is the least of my problems.....had a closer look and the front offisde wheel is bent inwards and upwards which can't be good.

My VR6 after having new front wings, passenger door and a respray. Might be putting the original 15" wheels back on and could do with the suspension being lowered a little as it's got the 4x4 look about it.

Must admit I was surprised to find the wheel in one piece due to the terrific bang it made. Been to one garage and they reckon the wheel might be ok to repair but should find out for sure on Monday. I'm considering putting the original 15" wheels back but that would require the cost of 4 new tyres. Suspension looks very dodgy as well as the wheel arch above the front offisde wheel is visibly lower. I've learnt a valuable lesson and that is to concentrate driving home at 3am after a 12 hour shift.

I've just got my VR6 looking superb after a respray and I've only gone and driven into a kerb putting a big dent in ome of my wheels. It's an Integral A2, does anyone know if they are made anymore or where I can get hold of one? I've looked on a few websites that claim even bent alloys can be repaired, looking at my pic does does anyone think it can be repaired? ThanksIMG_0377.jpg[/attachment:5956d]

I've decided to bite the bullet and get a full respray as the red on my vr6 is fading badly. Can anyone recommend a decent body shop in Nottm and what sort of price I would be expecting to pay? Thanks

Been to C&R today for a full service, standard price is 230 although it came to 330 once a few extras were added on. Got a very long list of faults that goes to show they know what they are doing but doesn't make me feel any better.

A few months ago when the weather was freezing or close to freezing my VR6 would start fine, rev for a second or two then completely die as if i had turned it off. After waiting a couple of hours for the weather to warm up it would then start and run perfectly. It's the first time I've ever had a problem with the engine and looking through the forum the ISV or fuel pump have been mentioned which may be the cause. It's going for a service this month and could really do with knowing what the problem could be. Thanks.

Thanks for the last post... I've just been told today that VW are no longer making parts for the Corrado and I'm really struggling to locate a 2nd hand FNS wing in a decent condition. Will a pre 1992 wing actually fit on the later models and still look ok?

I've got a M reg VR6 which is desperate for a front nearside wing. Is it true that any Corrado built after 1992 will have the same wing? I can get my hands on a G60 wing and want to make sure it will fit or at least not be too noiticably different before I part with my cash. Another thing, my car doesn't have the plastic side bumper on the door & wings, which models/years had this fitted?
