  1. Thanks man, I'll email him in the morning. Quite fancy replacing mine when i have a new system made after new years! Keep up the good work with your Rado, wish mine was a 3.2 :D Vick
  2. Thanks guys, got a few subtle changes planned once its back to its former glory. I quite like the look of the Dubpower downpipe and manifold. :D some more pics form today! Vick :)
  3. Carl, that looks very nice! Have you a link and what it cost you mate? I Think that is on the shopping list for sure. Cheers Vick :D
  4. Awesome thread, has anyone got pics of their downpipes or how and what they used to build theirs? Thanks Vick :)
  5. Hi guys, thought to update a little on here. Thanks for the welcome and sorry I didn;t reply to your message Phil, was nice meeting you too dude. After some elbow, now looks like this. Slowly getting it back to its former glory and changing a few bits along the way. New corvette wheels shipped from the US. Thought to share with fellow C lovers ! Vick :)
  6. hi guys, do you just simple put these arms on a corrado motor spline and tighten up the bolt? Really that simple?
  7. woah chill out everyone! On the topic of cars being known, its entirely up to the owner if they want their work shared and mag featured etc, but nobody has the right to slate other cars or question why certain cars are well known because its all down to the owners of the cars, everyone is different and each to their own and all. There are cars out there that have R32 engines, big turbos and interiors (and i can imagine Kevs car is pretty well spec'd and done well) but again its up to him for not wanting to take it to shows and display it for his own reasons. If Jays old car was out there in the masses to see, i don't think there is anything wrong with that in my eyes, he is well known for helping everyone out and thats coming from experience. Anyway, lets not start a conflict, forums can sometimes get opinions across in the wrong way . :gag: :)
  8. Very true and I've always believed the same, i have had a couple sets if custom made wheels by Image wheels and they are on the cards again for this car to replace the BBS RC splits the car came with. :) Tandino - Matt black vette wheels do sound tempting! 8) Herisites - Thanks mate, I think with this, the vette wheels were my favourite for a few reason, very unusual wheel and in my eyes, suited the style of the car well. They are ease of maintenance as i have had enough of polishing wheels on daily drivers so fancy something i can simply wash and go with, the vette wheels seem ideal! Finding a set is another thing tho lol I know the norm is to put your own touch on a car but i really loved the car when it was on vette wheels and don't feel a desperate need to find anything else but those right now, unless something lese thats tasty pops up lol
  9. 4wd is something i would like to do if i turbo'd/ charged it, but not right now lol! Wheels tho, been looking at RS's and Dogleg splits! No still haven't found it, the link you sent me were very similar but not the same, still on the lookout :(
  10. Mention Jay Renshaw? lol Yeah think i wil once i have some updates! Yeah i bought that car lasy year, really is a small world, VW community
  11. STONE CHIPS! You have ruined Jay's car already! :bad-words: Only messin, welcome, look forward to seeing you make your mark on it. :D LOL dam  Thanks dude, not sure about making a mark as i have always felt, changes don;t always better things, its a well thought out car, possibly add some wheels as it is not on the vette wheels, forced induction of some sort looks tempting but for now, its plenty quick... FOR NOW :norty:
  12. Welcome btw... Apologies for the nonsense in this thread, it's no reflection on you or your car, just typical CF diversity and banta! lol cheers dude, I'll get used to it i guess :) I don't want opinions getting out of hand on any forums etc, as i feel we are all in this together sharing a passion for dubs and its our hobby/lifestyle! 8) I'm very pleased with my car, there is nothing wrong with it, unless stone chips are a problem! LOL 8)
  13. Thanks mate, looking forward to enjoying it more than anything. Never owned a corrado before and never knew how well they handled, its leagues above my mk2 which was on coilovers and had ARB's etc, it handled well but the corrado feel more planted :) more than my mk4's 8) Will defo be on here more, some great knowledge and advice on here :) Vick
  14. Cheers guys, nice to be welcomed, hope Jay doesn't mind us spamming his thread LOL! Mk4 was a great car, the blue one was as it was made for more go and setup up to handle and make the most of the power as bally knows :) Gav it is a change but to be honest, its more of a package drive and handling wise, everything feels nible, tight and solid which i am suprised as being a older car, i wasn't expecting the way it is and pleasantly suprised! Plus i like the corrado looks over a mk4 golf ! lol Vick It handles great, goes very well and so comfortable, can't complain! :D
  15. amazing car dude, its going to be awesome when complete, what kind of power will the charger take you up to? :) Vick
  16. LOL sorry man, its just nice to know so much history of a car :) Vick
  17. Hi guys, been watching this thread and thought to say hello and glad to be part of the coupe family, always loved corrados and really pleased i own one now. Type 2 sounds about right :D Jay is pleased its back in someone hands who will look after the hard work he put into it, yes its always going to be Jays corrado, and..............? is it really that important? not to me, he is one of my closest friends and thats more re assuring its his old car. if anyone from here knows Jay, they will probably know he does not cut any corners in any shape or form. The car has been through a few owners but has help up very well in that time, a true statement to the original build quality and skill put into the car. It is far from a car with shiney paint and big wheels, don't get it twisted assuming that, the car has a huge spec, quaife diff, fully functional TT dash, climatronics, cruise control full mk4 4mo engine conversion etc etc, and for me, thats engineering right there as i don't know of many corrados with anything what this car has. It was a very popular car and was well in the show circuit due to Jay being popular with his skills and knowledge. The car is as reliable and runs like a mk4, nothing like a older car, everything is new, all runs well and feels tight and nimble, experience from owning mk2's with 20v turbos, VR6's and 16V's and owning mk4 20vT's and GT Tdi's. Sorry if this has turned into a bit of a speech, its nothing personal to anyone but i felt a few questions would be cleared up with the above. Great forum for anything corrado based, think i will be spending a lot of time on here! and again, glad to be a part of the corrado world, extremely pleased i have this now. As for plans, Rotrex and possibly 4wd , and maybe some BBS RS 17's :censored: Thanks Vick :)
