Hope you dont mind me asking how much you paid for it and the spec ?? did you look for long and did you see many, any things that you can think of we should look out for ?? Leonard the Mk4, although a good buy I'm sure, does nothing for me........ sorry G60 supercharger dont mean to hijack your thread :) was thinking of posting the same thread a few weeks back.
-
If your not looking for long journey car then Mk4 polo.......I bought one as daily for £850 last year and its been great, so economical and solid as a rock. Sure you can get a good one for your budget.

Thats really wierd I have been thinking about both for the past week as well, although not the roadster....... so I will also be interested in the replys. I have always loved the S3 but never had the chance to have a go in one and the MK1 TT is becoming more and more appealing.......for some reason I have only found the TT more appealing since the new one came out, I think it makes the MK1 look much more aggressive. I like the idea of the V6 aswell, and the cabins look plush - I actually quite fancy the blue leather ones :camp:

I had a pretty low opinion like you, but in a similar way, after spending 6 months in Australia I loved the big engined beasts they have out there......I was pinning after an SS ute on my return  I think its about having the right car for the right country......doing huge miles on highways in a 2.0 Golf doesnt make sense when for similar money you can get a 4.0 V8 - this only becomes ridiculously obvious once you go to these countries though.
-
Wow these look spot on  Just what the corrado is crying out for a bigger standard (ish) speedline (ish) wheel !!
-
yeah my money is on Alonso but I'm looking forward to Lewis making his way through if he can make it past the first corner !!
-
I have a 270 mile round trip to see these guys so I know what you mean, but then I tend to have a few jobs done at once when I time so each visit is worth the trip. But they are not like any other garage I have been to, they take time to talk to you, show you what's what, go for a drive with you - it's more of a day out! Just done a route planner and according to AA its 132 miles one way so funnily enough the same as yours !!
-
This is so frustrating, the more I hear about DG the more I want to pay you a visit.........but you are bloody miles away :brickwall: I would be very interested in this remap, seems like a positive move on general performance for very reasonable money......problem is it will cost me that again in petrol for the visit :( Keep up the good work fella's, nice to have a more or less Corrado dedicated garage on the forum :D

Brilliant love that
-
Blimmey I'm too confused
-
something just occurred to me though, I thought BMW did produce an E46 M3 ........ EDIT : Just realised he did it to avoid the tax bracket of a new car - it took so long to read the thread by the time I got to the end I forgot the point of it
-
my god there seems to be a lot of regulars getting bored with there corrados lately - me included :( !!
-
Right so I take it you mean like a rubber frame/surround ? I thought they must of come out the factory with something more than what my'n currently looks like. Edit : a bit far fetched but has anyone got a pic
-
What about Ripspeed? [/quote:2fa3g7g2] :brickwall:

+ 1 ......but I think its nitpicking really :)
-
I've always wondered if every corrado came with a metal accelerator pedal ? And if they did I think it looks kind of naff......I understand why it would come like this but mine looks pretty rubbish now. Has anyone changed theres or replaced with a new one - and if you have what does a new one look like - just silver metal  By the way I'm not really interested in replacing with those terrible max power sparco things
-
Exactly that was kind of my point as well. End result looks kind of touring Car-esk with suck wide arches and negative camber !!
-
I got to page 15 and my eyes started to hurt  .......so I jumped to the end - really cool some major skills and the guy has some balls !! Its one thing taking apart a £3k corrado and fettling - its quite another messing with BMW of this worth  Thanks for the link.
-
so the threads about whats the best pie. And whats the best sandwich filling and all the guff about ham should be deleted then? Get a life. Yes delete all of them, except the best way to cook eggs - I like that one !!
-
......aint that the truth.......brilliant, best piece of mind you have had so far
-
8 years of corrado ownership - time to say good bye
Danny B replied to emu's topic in General Car Chat
The only thing thats stopping me sell mine at the moment is remembering the feeling I had when I sold my mint 205 gti a few years back - regretted it ever since.......love for the rado is slowly dwindling but considering the peanuts I would get for it if I sold (despite it being mint) its not worth that feeling of regret I had with the pug. My point is are you sure you wont regret it  !! -
Aahhh, after looking back over the pics you can see its standard :brickwall: .......someone told me the jetex looks OEM but obviously not THAT OEM :) Yeah cant believe Cole would have got that kind of dollar :cuckoo: - a Babel swap would have been good for the Hammers, in the right circumstances with the right club I reakon Babel could be a force !
-
Sometimes better to search on google than forum search, it will come up first there !
-
The Cars looking spot on mate, love the red rears and the stance is perfect.......thinking of getting a jetex myself how do you find it (sorry if you have already said before but your thread is 52 pages  !!) Also £9m for carlton cole WTF  !!
-
Lad in a passat pulled up next to me at the lights and asked if the C was for sale - not on your nelly boyo  Second time thats happened to me, always nice !!
