The corrado was deemed an uneconomical repair by the insurance company after an elderly lady reversed into the front bumper, the damage is minimal but i wanted a new bumper (which are not cheep genuine!) but are around about 40 quid second hand. Other than that this is a brilliant, well maintained car that has put a smile on my face every day :) I hope it goes to a good home.

  9. Location: southampton Price: 1200.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 26th Jan 2012 Description: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?46560-vw-domo-s-valver-stainless-system-fitted Hi, for sale is my much loved aqua blue, 1993, 2l 16v corrado. Selling due to having bought a nissan skyline for a bit of fun this year ;) Shes equipped with full black leather interior and heated front seats. electric sunroof, mirrors and windows and spoiler all working. cat 1 cobra alarm and immobilizer with full closure and central locking. four new tires on the last MOT 170,000 miles on the clock but don't let that put you off! during ownership over the last 5 years from 110,000 miles she has been well maintained and regularly serviced by myself with a few suttle modifications along the way. I have a stack of receipts from all the replacement parts and servicing. Iv taken a list of mods and new parts from my link at the top: Interior. Changed heater matrix (re-built the flaps and controls whilst i was at it) Welded hang brake after the mot garage ripped it up Ignition switch 3 x 6” pioneer speakers (rear) Alpine sxe speakers (front) 10” mac audio sub Pioneer head unit Exterior. Changed rear calipers, disks and bearings new brake bias valve changed fuel filter and line undersealed Abs sensor's replaced drivers side door handle replaced both door pins new areal, base and cable engine. Abs pump ISV Coil and module Throttle Clutch Cam belt and tensioner 90amp alternator and aux belts battery rocker cover gasket lambda probe battery MODS. Kr cam 50mm inlet K&n panel filter with widened air flow 4-2-1 stainless manifold 2.5" stainless cat back exhaust system 280 break conversion (in red) green stuff pads 10mm rear sub-axle spacers 15mm front hub-centric spacers 16" x 7.5j TSW hockenheim’s Painted front grill, headlight surrounds and reg surround Red rears with amber led bulbs and resisters Cat 1 cobra alarm and immobilizer (fitted by Andy at trim wizard) coilovers 15mm lower suspension top hats power rohr lupo wipers clear side repeaters She starts first time every time and still drives beautifully with no crunching or any other nasty noises. on sale i will put a years mot and six moths tax on sale. four new tires on last MOT and all the CV boots replaced. The bad bits are the lacquer is peeling in some places and the guys who sprayed the sunroof made a bit of a hash job so its gone cloudy. also a few parking dings and scuffs. The corrado has been deemed a cat D write off after an old lady backed into it and cracked the bumper :/ it was written off because a new bumper would have cost the insurance company £1300 to replace which is the value of the car. nothing to worry about though, you can pick up a replacement bumper for about £40 second hand on flebay. Im looking for £1200 ono. for any further info or pictures please PM me. thanks, Dom.
  10. If you can, bridge a multimeter across the live from the battery and set it to mili amps. Then turn on the alarm and take a reading and post it up on here, imo anything above 10mili amps is too high. if its not drawing too much current then get a new battery. If it is drawing alot of current check the alam wires, there should be a controle box in the drivers footwell and the horn in the engine bay, if the wires are good then get a new alarm or just rip it out. hope you get it sorted mate, good luck.
  11. Dont give up, how many wires have you got coming off the positie terminal on the battery? it wont be the headlight wires as they wont draw current untill swiched on. a comman one is check the boot light isnt staying in when you close the boot.
  12. If your not getting enough power from the battery the solenoid will tick on the starter, probably a good idea to change the live feed if its split, a nice thick wire will get alot of umph to the starter with a good battery. i dont think anything connects to that pin in your pic either.
  13. Thats a good idea mate!
  14. lol oh dear. probably a drain then, i had this problem when i first got mine and i got so fed up i called an auto electrician out in the end, not cheep but worth it! The cables under the air box had worn through and where earthing on the chassis. check the voltage in the morning if you can and see if its low. to stop it draining just disconnect the battery before you go to bed and reconnect it in the morning for the moment. The way to find a drain is to use a multimeter across the battery without the engine running and see if the voltage slowly drops off, you may have to sit for a while. if it does work your way from the battery disconnecting wires till the voltage stops dropping (or pay someone to do it lol)
  15. does it turn over? or do you get nothing when you turn the key?
  16. have you checked the pipes going to the heater matrix are hot? maybe air lock? or the push rod that controls hot and cold might have come off at the heater matrix end.
  17. Now up for sale if any ones interested...............its been a pleasure. http://the-corrado.net/classifieds.php?do=viewitem&itemid=1278
  18. Had a bit of a break through today! :) The stutter problem turned out to be a dodgy rotor arm, looked fine but didn't seem to work properly. My advice would be if your c stutters under load and it seems electrical just replace everything from the coil to the plugs, saves chasing faults constantly. Either that or just hit it with a big hammer till your defiantly sure the problem won't come back, I was close! Thanks to everyone who suggested ;)
