  1. hi. I had exactly the same problem with my corrado g60. it was seriously overfuelling. vw garage of hereford told me it was the ecu. i purchased a used ecu from a breakers, and got vw to programme it, and fit it for me. this solved the problem. it now runs fine again. vw told me that the cause of the ecu failing was from using jump leads to start it. the jump leads put to many volts through the ecu and burn it out. the point of my reply is that a second hand ecu will work on another car. good luck
  2. they told me that using jump leads can in some cases cook the ecu. i now have a bigger problem. on the journey back from the garage, the insides of the super charger smashed there way out through the casing, and metal shards are everywhere. new super charger is now needed, as there is a 60mm diameter hole in the side of it. im begining to lose faith in this car
  3. the vw garage have fitted the second hand ecu i bought, and the problem is solved. i have yet to go and pick her up.
  4. im very interseted in your post. what exactly was your corrado doing. was it struggling to start when warm. did it run fine once it had started
  5. my corrado g60 is seriousy overfuelling when starting. i have replaced the blu temp sender and the problem remains. i took it to volkswagen and they tell me the ecu is knakered. i wonder if they are unsure.
  6. my corrado g60 does exactly the same. the fuel pump starts up after around 3 minuites of stopping the engine, and runs for a couple of minuites. i noticed a verystrong smell of petrol. im not sure if it does it all the time
  7. the volkswagen garage have told me that the ecu is defective. i dont know if i should trust them or not. i fear that i could buy a new one and still not solve the problem. if anyone has an ecu for sale i would be interested. the part number is 037 906 022 EG
  8. i have fitted a brand new genuine blue temperature sender from volkswagen, and the problem still remains. i have dropped the corrado off at a the genuine vw garage tonite. if they find the problem i shall send you all an answer. fingers crossed it wont be to expensive.
  9. the corrado does splutter and lots of grey smoke comes out ot the exhaust for a few seconds once it has started. after that it runs beautiful
  10. ive just noticed your message about the fuses, i will check in the morning as im in no fit shape to do so at the moment.
  11. i live in shropshire, so its a bit of a treck
  12. the fact that mine works off the switch makes me think that it may be a fuse. if i discover that it is the module, i would be intersted in buying yours
  13. did the spoiler work off the switch before you connected it back up. or did it not work at all?
