are the wheels 7.5" on the front and 9" on the rear or 7.5" all round? i cant decide weather to go for the 7.5/9" combo or all 9" when i get mine *Edit* why does the sticky out tongue man look so aggresive??? lol

Think he's trying to say the car's 16, not himself... Lovely nugget though.... o yea, never thought of that, i feel a right dime bar now  :cyclops2:
-
16!?? lol how you mange to insure that?? and dont ya have to be 17 to even go on the roads? or are your parents/friends driving it while you turn 17 :) anyway looks really nice mate :) really like the look of yellow Corrados :)

afaik what you have said is true, they have to be added in the cast and cant just be added afterwards or you run the risk of the disc splitting at high temperatures. i know that they dont make masses of difference on the road but they do look much better than a boring standard disc, so i for one will be getting drilled/grooved discs :D

Right jsut out of curiosity i was wondering what weight is the standard flywheel on a VR6, i have seen the lightweight flywheel available which is about 4kg. So i wondered what sort of weight you must be saving to put this on :) thanks for any answers

yup climair do them cause ive already looked for when i get them. they are advertised in our catalogue ( A1 Motorstores) at £54-99 but they are an excellent fit :D

it is advised that you use spring compressors when you are doing someinth like taking the springs apart from the shockers . Not a necessity but advised, a "twanging" ( what a nice word) spring could result in a night in hospital lol especially if y or your mates whoever is the unfortunate one to have to push down, just happens to slip or let go :shocked!:

if thats a repair then WOW! does the wheel balance up alright and look/feel alright or have you done it on the sly and bought a new rim

be careful with spacers, make sure you can still sit the wheel on the HUB that sticks out from the car, if you cant DONT use them. This is dangerous, I see it all the time with where i work people just put spacers on not thinking about what they are doing. Just imaging the wheel without the spacer sits nicely onto the centre hub on the car, you put a spacer on that is thicker then the hub and you are putting the entire weight of the wheel onto the wheel bolts/nuts. this means, ie doing 60mph and you have to jump on the anchors, the car is still wanting to do 60mph but the wheels are stopping with great force. The car litterally rips the wheel nuts off which results in an accident usually. if you have to use some sort of massive spacer then i would advise you use the hub centric spacer kits which sit onto your hub but also give you another "ledge" as such to put the wheel onto. In other words, they might be £50-£100 but how much did 1) Your car cost and 2) how much is your life worth. most people who come into the shop think im babbling on when i say this but its sooooo dangerous what some people can do without meaning to :) i would just hate to read in a few weeks/months/years even that you have binned your C or even worse killed yourself because the wheels came off the car :( but end of the day i cant make you do it. and looking back at what ive just put, what an essay!!!

Such a shame about your corrado mate, she looked in mint condition, glad to hear your family and friend are all ok. The worst bit about it is probably the driver of the other car might get caught, BUT, as i have found out the punishment system these days can be aload of crap, a woman drove her volvo into my clio whilst i was doing 55mph in the opposite direction, (her fault she crossed my path) and she wasnt insured. Her penalty, £150 fine, 9 points, thats cheaper than the years insurance would of been :(, and the worst bit was that it took nearly 2 years to sort out my claim and for me to get all my money from the accident. Another bloke around this area was caught drunk, driving with no insurance and on his mobile. and he got........ 3 points and £250 fine. woopee :bad-words: . makes me sick sometimes -
being a master stockist for meguairs (if you look in there book under North Yorkshire, then Betta Motoring- Thats me! well the business i work for. :D) then i can say meguairs dont give us any training, everything i have learnt about the meguairs products is from reading the book they provide and from the information that i get from these forums. I'm not saying that being a dime bar in the area and trying to blag it is the right thing, if at any time i'm not sure i will ask the other staff, then if still no joy i ring meguairs myself to ask there technical people. but even from reading the little book they provide you can tell that the clay isnt a polish. Just thought i would add that for you, some of you probably kno this, but i thought i'd say so you dont think all master stockist's are as bad as that one sounds im gonna be trying the clay and using some of the 3 stage when i get my C :D

that looks like it was done with some force! there are a couple of places that rekon they can fix any wheel, perhaps cosmetically but i somehow doubt they can fix them to the original standard and them keep the structure like a brand new one would, i somehow dont think they would be able to do that wheel but if they can then they must have some skills really! if you can find another one or even if you do give it to them and ask them to prove themselves to you by doing it on the cheap, if they can then they are getting themselves mint advertising and your getting a fixed wheel :) Good luck with it either way mate!

if any local motor factors are near you look up the Valeo VM10 they are the front wipers for the 405 and come with the washer bars in the box, i had to get these when i had the washer jets smoothed out of my current car. all i had to do was run the piping to the new location up the washer arms and hey presto :), btw these wipers are about £10 each and it was quite a bummer when all i did was take the washer bars off and bin the blades cause they were totally the wrong size lol :s

from the response i have had selling this product in the shop i can say it sounds mint :D i havent tried it myself but have sold it to 4 or 5 of my friends and they say its excellent! I have seen the cars that have been done and they look mint, and its soo much easier and less time consuming, in all fairness if you compare it to a car that has had about 4 hours worth of work done on it then there will be no comparison but for quickness and ease its excellent! top dogs , and you get 2 microfibre cloths with it, only downside i can say to it is you cant buy the aquawax in the bottle on its own, you have to buy it with the microfibre cloths. not too much of a bad thing cause ya cant have too many cloths! :)
