Hi guys, happy new year! Just wanted to ask you again about my 1.8. It was chhurning out white/blue smoke a while back when the mill got hot, but after a few weeks it stopped. ?! Now the smoking has started again when the car's been idling for a while and the mill is getting hot. The temperature needle hits over a hundred, the exhaust smokes like hell and the clutch gets sticky. I've noticed the water level in the expansion tank drops alot every couple of hundred miles and I have to add around half a liter to get it back to normal. (The hot air's f**ked and it has stalling from time to time, usually on the motorway where I have to drop the clutch and turn the key to fire it back into life, but i'll post more about that at a later date, one thing at a time!) Apparently, if the head gasket splits it turns the oil milky, but there is no such evidence in my car, however, if it's split on the opposing side the it'll leave no such evidence. Is this true? Cheers in advance again for any info, i'm getting it looked at tomorrow aft so i'll tell you what the outcome is for anyone experiening similar problems.

Heh. I'm just having a Steffi Graff. Sad loss man, hope you find another one soon! -
Everyone dies someday. What a way to go :) Oi, you're not helping but if my G60 doesn't start putting the correct amount of fuel in soon I might have to get a diesel and a bike 8) you won't be able to look at a car in the same light again mate. Slow, cumbersome, awkward, boring and slow. That little voice is in your head for a reason, don't ignore it ;)

About bloody time. Yeah that's a good lil bike, I was going to buy the same this year but go a zx12-r instead. That Aprilia's got a full Ohlins set up, Marchesini wheels, Brembo monoblocs and more carbon fiber than there is metal work. I'm a tad jealous! I'm only ever so slightly obsessed with bikes thanks for asking. Passed my test last april and here's three of the four that i've owned since. The VTR 3 months after passing and riding a zx6r, then the green one, which was naked until I spent my life's savings on it, then the other red one, which weighs in at around 180 bhp. Words can't describe the feeling of having the throttle buried into the stop on a 180 bhp bike. Probably one would do a good job...Adrenaline :) I had to sell it to go to spain then bought the Corrado but i'm saving up so I can part-ex the red devil in for another 12-R. Anyway, here's my pics.

I'm not really one for road rage but sometimes middle lane hoggers infuriate me! I sometimes make the kind gesture of overtaking and then sweeping violently across their bough into the left hand lane, failing that i'll sit behind them with my lights on full beam in a somewhat futile bid (they're obviously not going to check their mirrors, but one does live in hope) to make them move over, then if all else fails i'll use a fourth gear, pedal to the carpet, redline sort of move past them in the left hand lane and change into fifth as soon as my back bumper is level with their front bumper so the backfire from my exhaust (here's hoping again) wakes them up. I'm all for tough love :)

Think of it this way, it's a bloody good bargaining point with any vehicle so the guy who buys it off you will think exactly the same thing. how much are you prepared to sell on for is the question you should be asking yourself. Think of the future old boy!

I'll race Dale Winton

My (new) fuel pump makes that sound. It makes a whirring sound at idle then it goes up at the same time as the revs. No matter how hard I cane the car it still makes that noise. It sounds quite sweet though, I like to pretend i'm mad max in the intercerptor, with the blower at full tilt, and Tina Turner on the chase. Now and then. When i'm on my own. Y'know. 8)

Hi. Another bafflingly simple subject on which I should have a very good idea but, shame on me, I haven't the foggiest! I sit up late at night after work wondering what width of wheel I could get away with on my corrado without looking not dissimilar to the type of person who wants wide wheels. Seriously though - What is the maximum size in width I could get away with, without having to stretch my tyres too much? Very near future plans include a 40mm drop and 17 inch rims. There is a variety of measurements for the wheels I want and wouldn't mind the wide boy look without getting stupid and reducing my steering lock to a half turn of the wheel. What do you guys have on your cars? Cheers.

Top advice. :) My squish kit will be in the post next week, then some Inovit CTS's the fortnight after that. Here's a question, anyone know a good trustworthy garage in Basingstoke? My regular is in the lake district (home) and I don't fancy a 300+ mile journey just to get some parts fitted. On t'other hand, I don't want a cowboy unleashing his/her magic on my beloved...
