nice rado, liked the golf too, as for the rear lights try spraying them yourself, there should be a guide in the wiki on how to do it..

Ok here goes, i have recently come into some missfortune and am in desperate need of money, (bad times) Its been on my mind for a while and it seems that the only way i could raise cash would be to sell my rado, now i know these questions get asked a lot and there isnt really a gauranteed price of what any rado is worth but i need a rough guide if anyone could help. Its a 1990 1.8 16v (apparently been boared to 2.0) the car has no tax and no m.o.t and has been on my folks driveway for about 18 months as the plan was to replace all the bodge jobs done by AwesomeGti and get the car back on the road. I have replaced the entire dashboard and re-wired the electrics back to original corrado electrics as there was a horrendous attempt at fitting a mk3 goof dash in, i have alos replaced the front and rear seats and door cards. I got the car from a close friedn and in total there are receipts in excess of £10,000 to include the stereo, paintwork, suspension, wheels, rs body kit which is now removed, mk3 dash, supersprint exhaust, engine re-build and bore, audi door handles, tt filler cap, theres loads more but i cant remeber at the moment. The car does not have a lot of rust, a little on the sills where water got under the awful sideskirts, and also by the filler cap where awesome fitted it and left the back of it exposed to the wheel arch. I had planned to have the car re-sprayed and one of the guys at DTS in Gosport told me it wouldnt take a lot to sort the filler cap out. the only other problem with the car is that the power steering squeals badly, i ahve bought another pas pump but it appears to be the wrong one, at worst i think it may be a problem with the rack however i havent had a good look at this. The engine has started first time everytime in the two years that i have had it, even when it hasnt been started for months, it idles well but is obviously running rich as it hasnt been on the road for a long time. It has also got front g-60 calipers and disks. The car will come with a host of parts including a set of D-90's 2x8's & 2x6's with brand new metal centre caps and 4x dunlop sp2000 tyres in good condition, brand new silicone hoses, lupo wipers, spare set of rear lights in excellent condition, stainless power rohr, spare rear bench, front bumper to replace the rs bumper that was on the car. Im really looking for a rough idea of how much this would all be worth? im not expecting it to be a lot as i nkow the car needs work, i just dont have the tools, time or space to finish the car. With the talent that some of you guys have on here with a bit of work this could be a beautiful corrado once again. Im gutted to even consider selling it but i just dont have the time or space. For more info on the car and the work i have done please see my thread in the members gallery. Forgot to mention it doesnt have a sunroofl. As always any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Andy Link to my thread about work done etc, lot more info on the car here...viewtopic.php?f=11&t=63667

well with the weather bein outrageously good this weekend i managed to get a few things done to the rado. first task was to set about finding where the leak was, turned out to possibly be the windscreen on the bottom right corner (drivers side) bad times, do not know what the best option with this is?? can anyone help?!! secondly it was also letting in water through the bottom of the doors, the water will run down the outside of the window in through the window seal and out of the bottom of the door into the car, i think im gona need new door seals and outer window rubbers, again bad times! only good thing to come from this weekend really was that i now have fully functional lupo wipers, so much better then the single wiper storm conversion that was on there. so if anyone wants a single storm wiper conversion then come get it and its yours for free!

hi guys...... well theres been pretty much no progress of late as just havent found the time to get any work done on the rado. Am at last settled in a new job so am gona pull my finger out and get the rado back where it belongs on the road. Hoping to get some work done this weekend, firstly fix the ridiculous leak that is letting water into the car.. refit the now mint interior and fit my lupo wipers which have been sat around for ages. i will be taking out the masses of stereo equipment and either refitting it as shallow as possible into the boot or selling it, i dont want a massive ice install and still want the boot to be usuable. still have an issue with the power steering squealing and at worst will have to replace the rack (bad times) not all is bad though, started her up for the first time in months and she fired up straight away with no hesitation and was idleing better then it ever has done, still running very rich but that will be sorted once it has been fettled with. two tyres are now dead flat and to be honest probably fit for the bin which is a shame as they have pretty much all their tread left. still havent got the d-90's refurbed and still havent bought any adaptors. my mum is moaning at me as her greenhouse and shed are full of parts lol! anyway im slowly gathering the inspiration to get the car done so watch this space for update's... all the best Andy

got mine for a steal at £135, original condition just some lacquer peel as been sat in a shed for 6 years, 6" fronts and 8" rears. around £200 give or take would be a good price for ones that need a refurb, as mentioned earlier maybe cheaper if lucky, mirror polished up to or over £400 just my 2ps worth

I know exactly where you're coming from. I really want to work on my car too (learn to work), but the weather is making that very hard to do. It seems to me too that the car shows it's age in winter all the more. I haven't washed it in months. Like yours, the footwell is wet from a gubbed windscreen and it is creaking and rattling inside like a erm.. Corrado. And to top it off the old chestnut that is the ABS lightshow has reared it's ugly head again. All this just makes me more determined to get the car in shape over the coming months. I can't really tell you what to do with yours only you know how much you love  your car. Hopefully you can find somewhere to work on it soon and give it some TLC. the winter is rubbish fact lol... its just a nightmare as im on a tight budget and thats an understatement! i love the car to pieces and really want it to be finished but am getting no nearer to seeing the light at the end of the tunnell its a nightmare and casuing me a real headache..

ok so not really an update.... so im rapidly losing my patience with the car, the weathers poop which cannot be helped, ive got nowhere to store the car and protect from the elements and just cant seem to get any work done and even when i do i just enearth more problems.. i opened the car 2day to find mould everywhere from water leaking into the passenger footwell, lost my patience as id only recently finished replacing the dash heating and interior..... i cant get to the bottom of the problem as to where the waters getting in as the weather is so poop. i really dont know what to do with it, do i soldier on and try n get it finished? or do i cut my losses' and sell it? in which case what would be a gd price to advertise it for? if only i had somwhere to store it and work on it then id be laughing, have looked pretty much everywhere.. just dont know what to do anymore so any advice would be greatly appreciated cheers andy

cheers buddy, im kinda hoarding keys at the moment. bought the original 16v key fob with light, and two original vw keys. got too many really. think ill change my alarm to one that will fit inside the flipkey fobs in the not too distant future..
-
they look good, ive wanted one for a while, i take it you only have to get it cut to match your existing key. would like to put my after market alarm fob internals into one though it prob wont fit...

deffo intrested you have pm

Yeah, in fact almost _any_ recaro seat not just VW supplied ones. Good luck finding the recaro subframes...... i gathered they are as rare as rocking horse poop :( so if i was to simply weld a corrado base to them would that work?
-
forgive me if this sounds silly, if i was to get a pair of front recaros from any vw as long as i fitted mk2 or corrado recaro subframes then they would go in?
-
I will get some pics up before I comment  ok dude, look 4ward to the pics

3 year warranty, thats good enough for me...

Rears are a piece of p*ss Fronts are easier than standard as you don't need a spring compressor - Pretty easy if you have the right tool, you will need slotted socket to tighten the spring caps, and when tightening the main nut (from the engine bay, you will need a socket set such as Halfords vortex etc. As you need to tighten the nut but keep the center still (using an allen key) at the same time) thats music to my ears...let me know when they are for sale, will there be much movement on the £200?

i bought a trolley jack a while back from lidl and its still in the box lol think ill be getting a new creeper and sum stands, bargains and with a 3 year warranty, just cant go wrong! 8)
