Yeah mate i know Alex quite well,did quite a few favours for each other when we had our crx's!! Really mad at the moment.V5 is lost in the shambles that is our postal service as is my MOT certificate so i cant tax it :( Dying to drive it properly!Still,gives me time to sort some things out,like solder in new LED's for switches that have lost illumination and other meanial things like that :) ive known alex for years, and work with him, he said you were getting a supra tt, what happened with that ?

heres the c i bought yesterday, pics arnt brilliant as my camera struggles in dim light, but as soon as my slr arives il get some better ones. completly standerd apart from koni adjustable suspension, all the electrics work, and the overall condition is great, witn only a tiny bit of rust on the boot lid. im not doing to much to this one, just some new wheels and a filter. also gota check the plugs as i had some blue smoke on run down today which im hopeing isnt anything serious :(

cheers guys, il give it a good going over with the clay bar and polish it all back up again, il look into coil overs aswell. also will drilling the airbox (pikey mod) make it sound any better till i get a induction kit.

2800 mate lol, id be even happyer if it was 2200 though , its been lowerd 30 mm on konis but i feel it needs more :D what coil overs are recomended ?

well i bought it, but i paid 2.800 as it needs a new tyre or 2 and the exhaust will want changing at some point but that was planned any way. i did view a m reg one on the way up in eastleigh, but it was in worse condition, and the sump/lower part of the block was coverd in oil so that put me off. il post some better pics up when it been cleaned as the ones on ph are crap and dont realy show how it looks, i also have a book full of work done, everything works, it does have a slight rattle which id say is timing chain tesioner but il get my mate to check as hes a vw mechanic.

today i sold my sx :D quickest sale ive ever had lol, and my garage in now almost empty of spare bits, tomorow my mate is driving me to see http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/257538.htmthis hopefully its a goodun. wish me luck :D

cheers mate, i did have a look at the wiki guide in the link but couldnt spot anything about the piston slap, but i had a good search on the forum as my first atempt didnt turn up any results, and found my answers.

hi guys, im hopefully selling my car this weekend so will have money to finaly look for a vr6, ive spotted this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=009 but im worried as he metions it has a sound like piston slap on start up which is comon, is this true ? will it have any adverse effects over time, as i dont want to be spending loads of dosh in a few months/weeks down the line. cheers dave.
