Hey guys.... haven't been on here for a while...see there is no section on problems anymore therefore made it harder to do a search on this. I got a huge problem with the sunroof. The other day the left hand side runner (passenger side) snapped therefore that side of the sunroof will no longer move back into position. Has this happened to anyone else and is it expensive to fix. Having been raining its started to leak :roll: so as you can tell...........i'm desperate. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!! :(

Also mate try replacing your fuel filter as mine did the same even after I cleaned the ISV. Works fine now

Nope, no-one has mentioned that to me before.........bonnets a bonnet to me ! bulgling or not.......still looks good !! :)

Duffer - No, its just fastened in with a cable tie through it and held onto the frame...........won't go anywhere !!!

Dont know if ure still having the problem but i just recently had the problem on my 2.0 16v, checked all the above but nothing, therefore i took it to Awesome Gti - they ran a diagnostic check and noticed that the fuel filter was faulty............they fitted a new one in and hey presto !!............idle's sweet now !!!

2.0 16v - Whenever i drive quite long distances or it gets extremely hot, if I switch of the ignition and try starting it again theres NOTHING !! Its not firing up the starter motor. I have to attach a wire to the starter motor and jump it from the battery. When its cooled down it seems ok. Any ideas lads ??

Still going well apart from the pedal incidents ive been recently having. Cheers guys, I bent the hook a bit more and it seemed to have held in place but to give it that extra strength........ I wrapped some electrical tape around it to keep it held in and solid - works a treat now and doesn't put ant extra strain on it ( touch wood !) P.S. Beavis, see what u mean, had to dislocate my shoulder a couple of times !!!

Recently my accelarator pedal has been coming away from the accelarator cable. The cable hooks itself onto the pedal through a rubber ring. Has anybody else had this problem and if so what they did to sort it. I have to be gentle with the pedal and have to keep checking if the cable is about to slip out. Its booked inot Awesome GTI for a service this month and have told them to look at it but has anybody suffered with this as well !!?!?!?! I've been told its a common fault !!? Becomes a bit of a nightmare when ure doing 60 and the pedal decides to fall to the floor !

Cheers Bally, I do try and keep it clean as possible. Take it ure looking at a 16v or !??

Cragbeal - The cold air intake makes a lot of diff i thought, just shed loads more air being drawn in ! Bally - It's been lowered 40mm. Paid £3000 for it last May. It had 91k on the clock, now got 99k. Don't want to hit the 100k mark !!!!! :cry: Did you see the pics on that link i posted ?

Bally - it's a 92 (J) 16v, Pearl Green. haven't done much to it yet, just a set of BK 299 17" alloys and lowered. Get me full stainless Miltech fitted next week. Cragbeal - has it made a difference ? The responce on mine is well better !!

Macca - it's really upto you how many to put in, like most people have said, the more you drill the 'throatier' it sounds. Check this site out if you already haven't done http://www.kf010a4571.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ and click on the downloads section. I basically did this, drilled about 25, 12mm holes and also did the cold air intake from the back of the grill leading into the airbox and i tell you what - what a BIG difference this has made. I've taken some pics, when i get them developed i'll post em so you can see !

I see you got your self some new wheels. Are they BBS ?? If they are bet they cost a bomb. Remember seeing a set of them at wheel base and they were well over £1K !!! Not sure about tatton park yet, i've seen your posts, i'll let you know. I'm always in the bullshead, it's like my second home !! That's probably why my kidneys keep failing :? only kidding !!! So how long you had your car for then ?
