...no the car doesnt run. Ive just spoken with VW Dealers where car is, hes saying because of its age (J plate) they cant talk to the ecu. They are recommending it be taken to a specialist auto electrical company... I just seem to be going round in circles, and know Im dreading the bill after so many people have tinkered with her. When the pattern ecu was put on it ran ok for a minute or so, but then started overfueling.

Hi all.... Well where to start? My G60 has been in the local garage for 8 months and now at VW in Bedford for just over a month. Problem started when car failed to start, called out AA who said it was overfuelling. Taken to local garage, who after running their own diagnostics said it was a faulty ecu. Ecu sent to Bosch on two occassions but on each time it was returned saying there was no fault with it, however car still overfueld. Got a replacement ecu from all parts, but still didnt run. Eventually, the local garage took the car to VW in Bedford who are saying that they cannot "talk" to the ecu as they dont have the right software!! Ive just got off the phone to VW UK Customer Service who are going to chase the garage up. In the meantime, does anybody recognise the problem? I have been told that you cant just by a recon ecu or swap from one car to another as they need to be reprogrammed......Ive also been told that an ecu can only be programmed once to one car? I just dont know who to believe anymore.... All I want is my pride and joy back. Any feedback would be so so so apprieciated. Mike
