  1. im gunna get the head ported and polished and bigger valves aswell. put my 263 cams.with that and the oversizing i imagine its gunna be around £5000 in all. :gag:
  2. yep was hot. gunna get a cylinder leak tester this week now. i know it could be the valves but stealth did a full head recon. it wasnt right before it went there and it wasnt right after. i asked them to check compression when it had the recon and they said it was fine. they said it wasnt running right cos the ecu needed to re-learn the car and i needed new ht leads. bought another set of magnacor leads and no difference. so could be the pistons or bore or stealth did sumthing wrong maybe. theres loads of reasons they could give to say its happend since so i wont be able to prove its their fault if it is. anyways i hope not cos they have a good reputation and vince is a nice guy. if its the rings, bore of watever im going to oversize with sum 83.5mm pistons. should be fun
  3. changed injectors and no difference. did a compression test last night and results are as folows 1)168 2)180 3)160 4)180 5)120 6)175. done the test twice and got same results. did a wet test on no.5 and got 145. gunna do a leak test when i get sum hose. any thoughts?
  4. thanks guys i will investigate!
  5. my vr6 is missing. plug in cylinder 6 keeps getting covered in oil. had the head reconditioned at stealth in febuary and they said they changed the valve seals and compression tested it for me. is this mabye a dodgy injecter? also my exhaust is blowing before and after the cat, will this add to the misfire. thanks for any advice

  9. So far this year she's had a new clutch, chains and tensioners, rebuilt head done by stealth, new ebc front discs and pads, angel eyes, inpro fogs, smoked rear lights and black vw badges. Future plans are for new rear discs and pads, get the alloys powder coated gloss blank, change the rear corrado badge for a black one, 263 cams and a remap. Thanks for looking, please tell me what you think of her. 11. PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!! the ecu i had on the way to me got broken in transit.breakers yard has refunded me so i need another.the problem is when the origional ecu packed up i sent it to be reconditioned and the reconditioning company said it had shorted out and would replace the parts inside the ecu for new ones. when it came back put it in the car and nothing happend at all.took it to vw who checked all the wireing and everything that end was fine.a car electrian friend opened the ecu up to find it had been bodged and there was now a hole blown in the pc board.reconditioning company wont do anything about it and i refused to pay them.sent it to another ecu reconditioning company and they said its now no longer repairable.the problem with me getting a new one is im not sure what code ecu i need as the first company took the origional bosch label off and stuck their own on. it says 0 261 200 493/4 021 906 258 i searched the net and found theres a few different codes for a 93 reg rado vr6 they are Corrado VR6 2.9 litre (ABV) 91-93 Bosch Motronic 2.7 0 261 200 493 - 021 906 258 B 0 261 200 494 - 021 906 258 CC Corrado VR6 2.9 litre (ABV) 93 on Bosch Motronic 2.9 0 261 203 108 - 021 906 258 AG 0 261 203 109 theres my dialemer.if anyone can tell which one i need i would be very greatfull.even better would be if you had one for me to buy.thanks very much for your time.
