Cheers mate, i thought it sounded a bit wierd when he said they were on the wheels. Well thats narrowed it down a bit. I dont have abs on mine anyway i dont think.

yeah vw quoted me £20 for the transmission speed sensor, but they said there was speed sensors at the wheels too! Is this correct? They want £47 quid a side for them.

Yeah it does seem like it might be a connection problem. I just wondered whether certain components such as the speed sensor might behave like this when they are on their way out.

its a 1991 16v.

Hi all, The speedo in my car has stopped working so the majority of the time there is no reading. However, every now and again it will flick into life for a few seconds and then die again. Now i know this could be a number of things but has this ever happened to anyone else and what was the cause. Any ideas??

:x Hi everyone, just joined as i'm considering buying a 16v corrado very soon. Been to look at a few already and thought it might be a good idea to do a bit of revision on them before buying. So i popped down to my local halfords only to find that Haynes never did a manual for the corrado! Eh?? Why not? The only other decent one i can find is one from america off amazon at a wopping £95!! Does anyone know how i am supposed to get information on the car i want so bad? Ps. Is it better to go for a 2.0 16v or a 1.8 16v. I've heard the 1.8 is better. Any views or pro's and cons??
