Ahhhh yeah there is an amp in the boot, didn't think this would be the cause. Will have a play around! Night shift was cold and wet. Should have taken weekend off to head down to Ultimatedubs :(

Well some of you may know that I was on the hunt for a VR6 after selling the Leon. After about two months or so I finally found one. Compared to the Cupra R I had before this is a far better car. Now dont get me wrong, the Cupra R was great, fast modern etc however after driving the VR6 I wish I had bought one to begin with. The VR feels faster, the driving position is better, I feel its more of a drivers car not so forgiven compared to the Cupra R. And best of all, that V6 rumble......................awwww what a note! Hi how you doing? Wee question here. My VR has been installed with some aftermarket JVC CD player which sits very flush in the dash in its stealth mode which is nice. I also have uprated door card speakers and tweeters up front. I've noticed however that when I switch my CD player off (which is often the case as would rather listen to the engine :lol: ) there is a high pitch buzz that occurs. This buzz changes frequency to co-incide with the revs. The more you push the accelerator the higher the pitch! Anyone got any idea what could be causing this? Cheers Kris

Hey, Well have just fitted a mates K&N induction kit off his unused VR6.To be honest it's good, but not that big an improvement compared to the standard drilled airbox I had before. Don't know if it's worth now forking out £160 for an BMC? :? Kris

Hi folks, finally got my VR6, will post pics later on in week once given it a clean. Wee question the now though. I am trying to source an induction kit for the VR6. It has a Miltex exhaust on it, however want to hear more of the v6 grunt, hence the induction kit. I've been scanning through the site and noticed that the BMC cda is the one to go for. http://Anyone know who sells them at a resonable price. Best i've found so far is £160.00 however thats for the 2.8 vr6 off the Mk3 Golf. http://Would this work?

If your in a city, Police will have more urgeant calls to deal, with nine out of ten times. If it's a road policing car behind you then you are more likely to get pulled as the concentrate in road policing issues (hence title 8) ) Personally I would let the culprit go with a warning and tell them to change them asap. If I see them again, then they are issued with a HORT1 (not a ticket as such) It'd always carry the normal plates in boot however.
