I am looking for a throttle cable in reasonable condition from a G60 or does anybody know whether a cable for a VR6 or other model would fit? The part number on my cable is 536 721 555 & the same number seems to used for other models sometimes with an A at the end. Any help would be much appreciated.

The blue temp sender can fail when it gets a few years old sending the emissions high with overfuelling a hot engine. Worth a check if you havent already.

Fitted new Febi hydro mounts & gearbox mount + new oe centre exhaust box & exhaust hangers today to my 92 G60. Got rid of a vibration at tickover & 3000 rpm that it had since the rear hydro mount was replaced a couple of years ago with a solid rubber one. How much nicer it is especially at motorway speeds -- 70mph = approx 3000 rpm, no more double vision in the rear view mirror. RESULT

I have a set of G60 clocks from a 92 G60 that you can have for zilch if their any good to you. The speedo & tacho dont work but the temp & fuel gauge work ok from what I can remember. I live in Bournemouth near Meyrick Park. Let me know if your interested & I'll pm you with my address.

That is a very fair price for a brand new genuine VW part, I'm over the moon, didnt think there would be any around in good condition let alone new. I will buy it please, I will message you details etc. Many thanks Mick.

Looking for a G60 exhaust box, the big old suitcase sized one in reasonable condition. Desperately trying to keep my G60 as OEM as possible.

These are available on VW heritage site.

My G60 has done 190K miles & is 25 years old, the transmission oil has never been changed as far as I am aware. Would it be a good idea to get the old oil drained & replaced with new. The car is running very well for its age & is a pleasure to drive but occasionally getting into 1st gear is a bit of a struggle.

Superb work & fabulous pictures, I have a mildly modded 92 G60 that has been an absolute rock & has never let me down in 24years, these really are great cars, good fun to drive with superb driver feedback thro chassis/steering & with a little TLC utterly reliable. Hope you get real joy from it after all your hard work.

Some 92 G60s although had early interior had a later ateering wheel which is much nicer as well as the facelift body parts.
