  1. Hmm, I can understand some of the Alfa-bashing that goes on here - I was guilty of it myself 'til I bought and drove one... The car is an absolute MONSTER!!! I'd have bought another Corrado without doubt if the people who were selling them at the time had half a brain/some common sense (in terms of car valuation)! Why do most people who have a Corrado for sale think it's worth £000 more than it actually is?! Just think, if you've got a half decent Storm/VR6 for sale, you can buy an M3 Evo (and other f*cking fast coupes), for only couple of £ more... Much as I loved my old Storm, there are other cars out there 'do a job' on the Corrdao....
  2. "....totally agree mate about whats out there at the moment, theres a lot of car for little money, GTV included. I just said it as I have a GTV cup, (since new) and its build quality is dreadful, my VR is in better shape inside and its 10 years older ........both great cars though." Surprised to hear your comments on build quality mate. Although I've not had mine that long, it feels really solid, all the electrics/switches work etc, leather unmarked etc...! Touch wood it stays that way!
  3. "......but doesnt the build quality do your head in ??" Not really, feels incredibly solid. Did my research before I bought it, being slightly dubious about Alfa's reputation of poor build quality. But scanning the forums etc, it seems the Alfa is a really reliable car. I wasn't dissing the Corrado at all, loved my old Storm, but when you look at what else is out there for similar money, it can really turn your head...!
  4. I had a VR6 Storm for a couple of years and loved it. Then I decided to go "sensible" and bought something that wasn't too heavy on fuel. Got bored with that and went looking for another VR6. Sadly, I couldn't find a decent one for sale (Or more like, people MASSIVELY over-value the Corrado's they have for sale!!!). Now drive a 2000, 3 litre Alfa GTV V6 24V - That thing is an absolute monster, all for WAAAAY less than most people are asking for an average condition VR6/Storm, and probably a rarer sight on the road, too. Momo leather, air con, climate control, 17 inch teledials, 220bhp, Aero-kit, Autodelta quad pipe exhaust, 0 - 60 in 6.4 secs, 70k with FARSH - All for £3500... I loved my old Corrado and thought it was a cracking car, but when put head to head and for less cash than people are asking for an average VR6, the Alfa wins by a long way, every time.
  5. I see, thanks. I'll hopefully be getting a new project car shortly so looking for a few ideas!
  6. Hi, Is anyone running Mark IV R32 alloys or anything similar on their Corrado? If so, could you post some pics so I can see what they look like? Thanks
  7. Has anyone seen this? Looks mint, but £8000....?!?! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1050191.htm
  8. A mate of mine made a good point on this topic today: The Corrado now has some seriously good and much newer rivals in the same price range, which wasn't the case a couple of years ago. For example, you can pick up much newer CLK, TT, SLK, RX8 and come away with change from £5/6K. The Corrado's a cracking car, and I had great fun in the 2 years I had mine, but some of the cars above look sorely tempting for the same price of a decent Storm...(sorry, couldn't help myself)
  9. I just sold my Storm for £5K on the nose.... It's worth what someone will pay for it...
  10. Some Blighter has nicked the BBS centre caps from my Storm! Does anyone know where, if anywhere, I can get a new set...? Thanks
  11. Me and my Storm can be found in Cardiff also...
