heya. The headlights on MK1 golfs and Corrado's are notoriously crap. I think the trick is to slap some relays on the lights to make them a big brighter. As for the central locking, mines buggered as well.

right guys my womans got a G reg 16v Rado. It's been regulary serviced and has a nice History section on the book :) As ive.. well my girlfriend.. has just taken ownership of it, i think its due for a bloody good servicing. As in more of a MK4 polo guy, could you guys post a sort of list of things that will need doing and what needs buying so I can get it sorted by a mechanic mate. I aint taking it to VW, as they ripp the P1ss with their prices. cheers all, and i think this is gonna be a baptism of ph1re into the world of Corrado ownership ££££££££££

Im after exactly the same shade of paint. I send my woman to halfords.. well it is her car.. and asked her to pick up some Alpine White spray and primer because the paint is peeling off the metal numberplate light holder below the spoiler. She returned with a white paint chip kit. Upon voicing my concern, she said that the guy in Halfords told her 'oh no you dont want spray, itll go everywhere. u need a chip kit'. Now did the fool really think I was going to leave it on the car when I sprayed it?? has he even heard of masking tape?? And as for the paint mixing service, it looks like it hasn't got to Wales.. or the Netherlands yet :)

Just bought a 3 slat grill for my corrado. Went to fit it and the notches on the bottom and the top are in completley different places, but it is definatley a corrado grill. I take it theres probably two different kinds of fitment? I've got a g reg 1990 1.8 16v

does the multibelt drive the pow3r steering?

When i lock the rado, the drivers door locks fine, but air hisses out from the passenger side window. I take it that the air pipe has probably split. My mate's got some pipe from the doors of his MK2 golf, that he wont be needing any more as he's adapted the front end to fit snugly with the back of a van. basically does anyone know if they're the same pipes?

ah the belt needs tensioning, as the cog is almost stopping when i turn full lock. Sorry it took so long to reply but I was at Volksfest Wales :) Im down South Wales, near Cardiff

Hey all, when i turn my rado 16v full lock i get a nasty squealing noise. I've checked the power steering reservior and its full, but the juice looks sort of rank. I (well its my gf's car..) have just bought it and am wondering if I change the power steering juice itll sort out the squeaking? Its a 1990 G reg cheers people
