Quotes are aroud £2000-£3000+ and what ever the price would be, VAT is to be added to it!

Since getting my C in the summer ive been constantly working on it bringing it up to scratch, I knew next to nothing about the car and have since had nearly every nut and bolt off it replacing parts and upgrading for the better. I should have kept looking for a better example but even with the corroded front wing, rust pitted door and rear arch i bought the first one i went to view, in all honesty the Borbet Cs and test drive is what made me get my wallet out and just had to have it. :cuckoo: :luvlove: Ive got to the stage now where im left with upgrading the engine and a professional respray but im not entirely sure what colour to get it painted. The original colour was tornado red but it had faded badly and after doing the bodywork repairs (including £150 for one front wing!!!) i went for the cheap option and painted it matt black with the intent to getting it in a shop next year but....... ive lost patience!! It just isnt what the car deserves so im getting it in the paintshop as soon as. I have had people say to keep it the original colour (Red) for resale value but i dont intend on getting rid....ever!! I like the Solid Blue on the Golf R32 and a have also thought about a Vauxhall Alantis Blue (for originallity) but afew other colours have crept up and would like to know what afew of you think and maybe help me decide..... :brickwall: Porsche 944/928 Met Brown/gold Bentley Atlas/gunmetal Grey Sorry for the long post but opinions and suggestions are apprieciated.

i had this problem and thought it was the rack...... so i bought another rack which is sitting in my garage. The problem with mine was that the bushes in the control arms had perished so needed replacing and the tracking rod had a slight bend in it, so used one of the rods from the rack id bought to sort it, got it tracked up at a garage and been fine since. :) -
The dash and switch modifications look awesome  . ddi gauges are the one, although im tempted to airbrush mine for something totally unique.

I thought id get some pics up......... When i 1st got her... Then for some personal touches, hid kit, coilovers and numberplate... Id seen some Corrados with the plate recess cut out and meshed, i went abit further and cut a rectangle out of the beam to allow for extra cooling! still not meshed yet tho.... I needed something to drive around in whilst i got busy with the bodywork and even managed to get this photo in the golf+ magazine! Done the job myself until more funds arrive...... Next was to fit single wiper, scorpion race exhaust system, black team dynamics, momo steering wheel and new brakes. Kept a red spoiler, roof and front strip under the headlights.... pretty pleased with the overall results but nowhere nere finished!! lol!! Next will be inpro headlights, fog + indicator set and rear lights (all dark smoked), professional respray in met black or gunmetal grey and a 1.8 20vt conversion.....

Was operating perfectly when I got the car but now it seems to stop half way when either goin up or down and have to press the switch again. Annoying as I have a full closure alarm where the windows shut automatically when I lock the car. Iv had the door panel off but can't see anything bent etc. Any ideas? Cheers

I know this is a common problem and probably already a post up but it one of the most annoying things ever! Is it just a case of fitting a new resistor?? Can anyone help? Thanks
