I bought the mk1 mr2 off WD a few years back. E811FMO. T-bar leaked like a sieve and was well botched with tape. Other than that it was good for a couple of years of torquey rear end mischief.

A6 no more, written off by drunk driver :-(
Dazmonkey replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
I was hit from behind by a unisured, untaxed, unmot'd, unlicensed driver about 8 years ago (not in my corrado). The force shunted me into car in front and wrote that off. My insurance company chased the driver personally for the repair costs. Didn't even need to pay an excess. Go to docs tomorrow about any neck pain and seek legal advice on personal injuries. I didn't and have had trouble ever since. I wish I had of. Not to get undue compensation but to get enough to pay a chiropractor to put it right. -
Meant looking not lollipop ! Amusing typo though.

I don't know if I have an updated loom. I havent uprated it and looking at the (lack of) brightness of the lights I doubt it.

Hi all, My 16v failed it's mot on Friday providing me with a pretty long todo list. About 6 reasons for failing were the electrical faults in the front headlights and indicators. Ie. Both headlights work but o/s all goes out when put on full beam. But in addition, full beam flashed when i indicate right. All n/s works. It's the o/s that the problems are. Mot station says prob bad earth. Can anyone tell me where to find the headlight earth? Anyone had a similar problem? Thanks Darran

Hi there all, I have had my 95 corrado 16v fro 2 years with very few problems. However, recently the fuse for the indicators (turn signals) starting blowing very regularly. So i was checking the earths on each corner (+ side repeaters) and whilst under the body found that the negative side of the battery was very dirty and greasy and horrible. So I took off the battery terminal and cleaned it all up. As soon as I put it back on the hazard lights began to flash, the little red light on the dash next to the main lights switch came on and a rythmic clicking noise was coming from under the dash. So after taking almost all of my dash apart it turns out that the car has an factory fitted alarm and or immobiliser. The alarm box say "Volswagon/Audi" 988 VAG 153 MPT 1340 W.T Licence exempt. From the info I can find out on the net, the alarm is likely to be a Scorpion 918. The car now won't even turn over. I have never had any kind of fob for an alarm and it has run perfectly for two years. I have an after market touch immobiliser but no alarm fob. Any ideas on what to do? alarm bypass??
