  2. Doubt the guy is on here but got a flash of the lights and a thumbs up from a very nice looking caddy pick-up this afternoon about 5ish on mansfield rd derby. Gave him a knowing nod and thumbs up back

  7. Just a quick question, these alloys should fit yeah ??? 5x100 16inch vw alloyswheels won!.jpg[/attachment:1od3s6rr]
  8. Going to have a go at this, i've bought a second-hand set of lights so can take my time and get it right or if i get it wrong i'll just bin them. Just to clarify a couple of points, how many coats of red is best to do? how many coats of lacqure is best? will the indicator still flash orange with using the standard bulb? cheers, i'll take some photos to show how i get on
  9. Have a 92 vr on original speedlines with standard brake set-up and standard suspension. All 4 tyres are due for replacing and rather than spend money buying new tyres i am considering changing the wheels all together. I only have a small budget of £150-200 max to buy new alloys with tyres so secondhand will be the way to go. There's plenty of sets on ebay for this kind of money, many wth the alloys in excellent condition with part-worn tyres. I would prefer to upgrade to 16's and avoid 17's. Will any mk4 golf or audi tt alloys fit straight on or are the stud off-sets different? Any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated. Nearly bought these yesterday but wasn't sure they would fit. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0449551431
  10. there was 6 of us in total, derby/notts convoy heading back from yorkshire meet. Didn't see you sorry, but visibility was poor with all that rain.
  11. Recognise this golf, sure it was at a show run by 'lowlifedubz' over in Nottingham, might still be some photos under the events category. :cuckoo:
  12. Thanks for your very detailed explanation matt! Will let you know how i get on, cheers
  13. Good pics mate! I've got a leaking radiator that is currently bodged with rad-weld, by removing the passenger headlight i can see its corroded at the bottom, i've been dreading the job of replacing it! Was it easy enough to remove the bumper/slam panal etc? Your pics will be a great help when the time comes!

    Tinted headlights?

Thanks for the help, used the lamin-x link, very usefull website! Ordered the subtle tint style, going to do just the headlights to begin then decide whether or not to do the the indicators and fogs
  15. Seen a few corrado's lately with what seem to be tinted headlights, is there someone out there selling these or is it a case of doing it yourself? If so, would it mean taking the headlight unit apart and spraying the glass with something or maybe fitting some kind of filter paper behind the glass? Obviously this would have a knock-on effect with the brightness of the lights. Any help would be appreciated.
