  1. Hey rado's looking nice. Wheels complement very nicely. Just have a question, do you get any arch rub at the rear, cos i'm gonna b putting on some bbs RMs with the 2.5 inch lip and am worried about arch rub. Did u get the arches rolled?
  2. By the way i saw from your signature that you had your engine bored toa 2l and had the manifold gas flowed. How much of an improvement was thing over the 1.8 and how much did this set you back. Its just that i'm getting a little tired of the 1.8 16v performance. dont get me wrong its a nice torquey engine up at 4.5+ revs but it just lacking that litle extra umph which i feel could be freed up somewhere. Know wot i mean.

  4. Hi guys, Got another wee problem. I have a set of auxcillary gauges oil temp, voltage and oil pressure. I just have a problem with connecting up the oil pressure gauge. I have the twin pole sender for it and was told that it can be fitted to the top of the oil filter housing. I have had a look and there is two srew in sensors there and am not sure which one to remove from there. Also was thinking of the location of the gauges. I have seen a raddo with the 3 gauges fitted where the ashtray and lighter go. Has anyone done this and if so how is it done. Does it involve cutting out the back bit of the area. Please can anyone help. Many thanx
  5. cheers for that. I suppose if it is what your talking about then i would bebetter of changing the water pump. I just had a look underneath the car and the is coolant dripping dripping from the power steering pump and around that are. I suppose the coolant could leak from the bearing of the water pump. But does a worn water pump make that rattley scratching noise?
  6. Hi guys, got a real irritating problem here. When the engine is running there is a very noticeable scratching rattley sound coming from the left hand side of the engine near the alternator area. In addition the coolant level is virtually empty after topping it up two dayas ago. SPoke to a mate who suggested it could be the water pump. If it is would that mean that the pump would leak out coolant? Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanx
  7. hi guys, Just wondered what would be the best type of oil to use with regards to viscocity. I have heard that 10/40 would be good and also 15/40 semi synthetic. My 16 valver has 126k mile so taking this into account what would be the best out of these two types. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx guys.
  8. hi guys, i am planning to get a set of 15x8.5 deep dish rims from image wheels but wondered if i would have to have the arches rolled. I have avo adjustables on the car. Also wanted to know what would be a good offset in order to have these wheels sitting flush with the outside of the arch so i can have that wide look. Any help will be much appreciated. Many thanx
  9. hi vr6storm, just wondering if you get any arch rub on those Azevs. i had 17" lenson DTMS on mine and they rubbed like mad on the rear. They have 215/40/17 tyres. thanx
  10. thanx for the help guys, just to add, i do use super unleaded from BP all the time and as mentioned this problem occurs only sometimes. In addition when i start the car when engine is warm it does idle lumpy for a while until i blitz the accerator a few times to clear it out. Dont know if this is connected with the problem.
  11. hi guys, Yet another problem with my Rado. I have noticed lately that when driving the car hard Ie. revving the engine to 6.5 - 7k revs, the engine feels quite rough and the acceleration is noticeabley slower than normal along with a tapping noise (probably pinking). However, this problem is not all the time as sometimes the engine revs up to 7k smoothley and quickly without too much of that supsected pinking noise. Any ideas. Many thanx
  12. hi guys, just a quick question, would any of you know the cause for warm starting problem. The car starts fine in the morning but after driving around and engine at normal temperature, if i park up for a while (30 mins) and then start her she will idle very lumpy. I have to rev the engine several times for the lumpy idle to disappear. Its just seems a little weird that this should only happen while the engine is warm then when its cold in the mornings when this problem doesnt occur. Its a 1.8 16valve if that should help.   13. hi 16vG60, Many thanx for your profound advice. I may have to ask u if you can supply a miltek exh for my c as u mentioned that u supply and fit them, that if i cant find one. Just wondering as well well if a Sebring backbox for a G60 would fit as i have seen one on Ebay. Your help is much appreciated.
