  1. Brake discs (front & rear) Brake pads (front & rear) Spark plugs (x6) All still available!
  2. K&N recharger kit and bump stops/top mounts have all gone in the post today. Brake pads (front and rear), brake discs (front and rear) and spark plugs still available. Got to raise some funds so I'm open to offers.
  3. Is tht a definite no on the brakes and pads then? Or are you still interested in a deal if they haven't shifted by Xmas?
  4. Can do, you ok to pay postage at cost? ---------- Post added at 6:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:38 PM ---------- Total I've got them all listed at is £45. If you have the lot I'll do them for £40 posted. ---------- Post added at 6:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:42 PM ---------- I'm Oswestry way. Whereabouts are you? I'm happy to meet.
  5. I have got a selection of new parts suitable for a VR6 Corrado. I had purchased them with the intention of using them on my Storm, but I've had to sell the car so need to move the parts on now. The bits I have are as follows: Brembo brake discs (front/pair) £40 Brembo brake discs (rear/pair) £30 OMP Road & Sport pads (front/set) £25 OMP Road & Sport pads (rear/set) £20 Febi Bilstein bump stops (front/pair) £10 Febi Bilstein bump stops (rear/pair) £15 Febi Bilstein strut top mounts (front/pair inc. bearing) £15 Febi Bilstein strut top mounts (rear/pair inc. two upper/2 lower) £5 NGK spark plugs BKR5EKU (set of 6) £18 K&N air filter recharge kit £7 All of the above are in their original packaging. I will post everything (at cost) bar the brake discs as they are too heavy, so collection only on them (I can meet up anywhere from Wrexham to the West Midlands, just drop me a line). I'll consider sensible offers on all the above, in the event my pricing is a bit off. If you would like pictures of any of the above let me know and I'll email some across. Any questions, just shout.
  6. Direct Line will be getting my business again, despite the fact the premium is up £37 on last year. Unmodified Storm, I'm 30 years old, 7 years NCD (unprotected), no points, 5k per annum, 2nd car discount (missus insures her Ka with them) and put the missus on as a named driver. Total damage £252.00 with an extra 10% if I want to pay monthly. Brentacre were very honest and said there was no way they could get anywhere near. Just a bit gutted as it was £216 last year. Interestingly, it seems that every time I pass a landmark insurance birthday, the insureres tell me it won't start to really save you money until the next one (got to 21 - "You'll start saving at 25", got to 25 - "You'll start saving at 30", just passed 30 - "Well it isn't until you're 35 that you'll really see the benefit").
  7. Cheers mate. Bump stops, top mounts and bearings ordered. Now just need a dry weekend!
  8. Right, Decided on a Weitec Ultra GT suspension kit. Just wondering what other bits and pieces I should be looking to change whilst I'm fitting the new kit. I was thinking top mounts and bump stops (both haven't been changed in a good while), but is there anything else I should be doing to save another job down the line? Cheers.
  9. Well, finally made my mind up and gone for Brembo standard discs and Mintex pads. The more I read about Greenstuff, the less appealing they became, plenty of people rating them, but also a fair few stories of crumbling. Cheers for all the advice guys, will report back when I've got them on!
  10. Can you still get Pagid Fast Road pads for the VR6? Yeah, but they're called Pagid Sports now - http://www.braketechnology.com/sportpad.html Ferodo DS Performance are quite good too. They were standard on the missus's Polo GTI and I liked the bite of those. Mintex do good fast road pad too, although I can't remember it's name. Cheers for that. Can't seem to find anyone that sells the 4-2-1 or 4-2-2 pads for the Corrado, might give the distributor a ring tomorrow with the part number. Did see them listed for a Leon Cupra somewhere, £200+ a set though! Sure the Pagid Fast Road pads used to be significantly cheaper than that!
  11. Quick question... Just had a look at the Ferodo DS Performance pads on the EuroPerformance site, and it says in red letters that they are for cars with LUC (presumably Lucas) callipers. Now are these the standard callipers on the VR6? Only ask as none of the other pads on that site specifically mention the "LUC" callipers.
  12. Well... Bilstein B8s all round and a set of Apex springs coming out at £579.26 on balancemotorsport and that is including the £50 Bilstein discount which ends midnight tonight. Unfortunately looks like it will be out of budget...
  13. Can you still get Pagid Fast Road pads for the VR6?
  14. Did try searching, but as with the suspension issue it is a case of finding something that's fairly recent (i.e. in the suspension thread a few years back everyone was saying Koni/H&R, which now according to some isn't as good an option due to QC issues), and also being able to find something at all in the monster threads that pop up (it's easy to miss the exact bit you're looking for when going through 80-odd pages of stuff). Not to mention that the search facility means that the majority of threads it identified aren't relevant. A lot of the info that people link to as standard (i.e. suspension thread) is useful to a point, but there is a shed load of it to filter through, and suppliers, prices, kit is not always relevant now, hence my threads. Thanks for the advice on the discs/pads though. I think I will be going Brembo standard discs, can get all four corners for about £80, which I think is a decent price. With regards the pads, are Reds noticeably worse than Greens at lower temperatures, or is it a case that they're about equal at low, then reds get much better the warmer they get?
